This works for me every time, (one time use though). Once you investigate someone, whisper for role, but in the same message say that you are tracker. If they are evil they almost always will claim out of their results knowing that they have so much claim space. I've busted countless evils this way and I gotta say it's really fun.

Also for number 2, transporter will also alter your results

Alt way to question people as investigator: This only works before you claim and once per game, and it is saying you are sheriff and you found them inno, then asking them for role.

If the survivor wasnt confirmed they probably were using them as an scapegoat or they just thought they were evil If the survivor was confirmed the arso was being an asshole

If you fake invest you can always try to use doused results or hex results to put pressure of an arso or hm.

Usually that just decreases the credibility of your claim. Could be viable in the late game though.

lol I did this as arsonist once (claimed invest finding everyone with doused results/known info) and it actually worked... wouldn't really recommend it as a strategy though lmao, it's pretty obvious what you're doing if people are paying attention

No, fr now, there's this game where 4 people are claiming doc (2 are confirmed) but no NK kills. I was invest my will was like N1 (doc/disg/sk) N2 (vigi/vet/maf/amb) N3 (doc/disg/sk) N4 (doc/disg/sk) maf was saying to not hang them since arso was gonna ignite, but I tell jailor it's silent sk. turns out there was really 3 RT docs in game (BG on the graveyard lmao)

I'm pretty sure that hex isn't guaranteed to get the book second, and that it's only cl and dusa that have their order specifically listed. The wiki says the same thing too, though perhaps it has incorrect information.

My opinion on Invest as a semi competitive TT player. If you get evil looking results, and the person isn't making you think they're town, they're probably evil and it's safe to kill them. I agree Invest's strength is really in the evils making it. Invest itself is a shit role, but people love claiming in the results, so it becomes proportionally stronger. This also makes it so easy to fakeclaim Invest, since most roles will just kinda out themselves to you or naturally during the game. Hell, even back when I played CAA, I could fakeclaim Invest before I even hit 50 games and won because people just kinda lost to themselves more than they lost to me. IMO if you roll Invest you need to take charge since you know you're town and you're easy enough to trust compared to other roles that might try to steal control from you, and if you're evil, claiming Invest and wrestling for control is a good idea if you coordinate with your evils. It's just a nice versatile role that works for both sides pretty well.

Any tips for fakeclaiming invest? I can usually tell when a player is evil but it’s kinda hard to guess which investigative result they fit in. (Mostly in AA/CAA)

@Keiko Yamamoto Work with other info present and play off towns natural paranoia. If it's D3 and you know 3 is evil, and the Tracker saw a 3 go to 7, find 3 as Arso and say 7 is doused. It's okay if you don't know the role, so long as you get the lynch and deflect to other people. Lo saw 4 5 6 on 8 the Jailor claim? Accuse one of them of being a Framer or Hex Master pretending to be TP. Think someone that baited D1 is dusa but not absolutely certain? Push them in an exe-y way to pivot claims if they end up town. Be flexible and don't be afraid to lie to get a lynch.

Consig and PM are good roles to fake invest but your problem lies in Sheriff and Spy. And PM suffers worse because that claim violates Invest results

As sheriff i enjoy asking people for roles to see what the fake claim is if i find them sus. If its bg it was framed/hexed, doc its evil, ect. Makes it easier to narrow down what evil they are, if they are 1 at all. Mind you this only works if you either havent claimed sheriff (you will now be called exe) or if its n1 (you will now be called exe) so use this with absolute caution. 80% of the time you will hang and then the guy you found as sus will hang.

Devs have confirmed that RCs get the Book based on Lobby Join Priority, aka, whoever joined the lobby first gets priority on whom gets the Necronomicon. Sorry, but your statement that HMs always get the book second is factually wrong.

Though the only thing that's correct is that CL will always be the Necro welder (which makes CL the first to hold it) and Medusa last (because if Dusa gets it before other coven, the coven is becomes broken)

That’s the case for poisoner, necromancer, and potion master. Not coven leader, hex master, or Medusa- they have a set order. Feel free to show me an example of hm not getting it after cl.

I have a question, how does Framer change invest results? Also, i agree with everything but 1 thing, investigator sometimes doesnt help town but it makes it worse. If you are a townie you are always suspected of fake claiming as an evil from your invest results, so you have to somehow confirm yourself. Also, if an investigator is in the game, either TP has to sit on it to threaten evils or evils will kill it and can claim whatever they want. Usually because of that i try to not post invest results if they mean nothing and try to get my target VFR-ed, as if u get VFR-ed and dont know if invest is in the game you are more likely to fake claim a non invest result, and you can pop out and say it. Or i like to invest people who claimed and if i get their results i keep it quiet(unless they get voted) and try to give it to a vig if its wrong to confirm myself, the vigi and scare the evils

Anyone who's framed shows as Framer, Vampire, Jester, or Hex Master. Someone who's doused and framed will still show Framer/Vamp/Jest/Hex rather than BG/GF/Arso/Crus

I sorta kinda don't really like the idea of invest results being in the game that much, feel like it just limits claim space in a not so healthy way... maybe a merger with the Sheriff role could make sense, with groups like, for example: 1. Mafia (except Mafioso/Godfather IF that player stay at home that night), framed, Vigilante, or Pirate (unlicensed gun ownership) 2. Coven, hexed, Psychic, Medium, or Retributionist (magic powers) 3. Vampire, transformed Werewolf, Plaguebearer, or Guardian Angel (shapeshifting) 4. Serial killer, Vampire hunter, or Doctor IF there has been an SK or VH kill (SK suspects) 5. Arsonist, doused, or Bodyguard IF there has been an Arso kill (Arso suspects) 6. Everyone else (not suspicious)
