Oh wow, that is ridiculous that coach was kept in and the student was told to leave. Be strong and brave parents and teachers.

Juan Diego fails to protect its students over and over again. My daughter endured 2 years of bullying from students and they did nothing!! We knew it was time to leave when staff kept brushing her off and had no plan in place to keep her safe. My daughter attempted suicide multiple times and ended up in the hospital for it. Trauma from bullying has followed her to her new high school but at least now she is getting the support she needs and she is thriving in a public school.

Really extreme that they expelled the students. It is time for Superintendent Mark Longe to move on if he cannot get basic employee ethics/supervision in order.

The job of a coach is to teach and push athletes to accomplish things but they could not achieve on their own. Both on and off the field. I had some good ones & bad ones, but luckily never ones that would tolerate team mates treating one another like that. Yes, we engaged in lightweight underclassmen hazing. . .things like; they all had to learn the school fight song & until after the 1st frosh or jv game of the year you could & would be demanded to sing it....or where you could sit on bus trips or carrying the ball bags &equipment, Senior letterman pads, etc. Looking back i realize now it was bout getting us to interact, respect, & tradition. They staff at both Junior high & High school both maintained that we were STUDENT athletes 1st & foremost & we had a super high graduation rate. But we still did Oklahoma drills, two a days in Ohio heat. One thing that did bother me years later though was being treated by the team dr. who was an alumni an would later lose his license for being know as the local Dr. Feelgood. Since we had sign medical release forms at the beginning of every year, he could treat us in emergency situations such as halftime & the locker room under the stands. I can personally saw that I got narcotics(once), toradol 2/3 times, & a cortinzon injection. Smh. Thats not right somebody shoulda involved my parents. But I gotta admit I felt Ggggrrrreeeaatttt!!!

Sadly I left juan diego after 10 years of subbing. Discipline has been going down the last 5 years, teachers are not renewing , turnover really bad in 2023
