When you talk about savings in the bank, what would you then say about the rate of inflation & the extended time it then takes to save a deposit?

Cop it on the chin

Inflation might be 1-2% per year, saving rates are lower than that so you're losing money every year. If you're losing 1% of $50k per year (as an example) that's $500/year. It's only going to be a huge sum if you're saving for years and years. Stock market could be better for some people if its going to take them ages, but that obviously comes with it's own risks too

Has there been any capital growth in the past 18 months? I’m skeptical as to whether growth and cash flow is possible so what sort of growth have you seen so far?
@onproperty3 жыл бұрын
There certainly has been in lots of different areas. But I ask you this...are you buying property to own for just 18 months and flip or will you own it for longer? Do you think property will be cheaper or more expensive in 20 years times?

@@onproperty I aim for long term, but nobody wants growth of just 4% a year. How much growth has this area seen lately? Is it possible for high growth properties in these councils where they allow second dwellings? As opposed to the brisbane city council where you’d target high growth properties but only single dwellings.
