Hi Rose, you handled that renovation like a pro! I've performed many, both on my personal property, and my rental units. If you can upgrade a kitchen for $10k, and a bathroom for $5k, that's about as good as it gets! Awesome work!

Is the light above the bath SELV, Rose? Going by British Electrical Standards, it should not be in that zone unless it is Separated Extra Low - Voltage. That is to say, 12 volts and separated from the earthing system of the rest of the electrical installation. If not, it is not safe!

Hey Rose, when buying a home in Mexico, do they check your US credit score? I have bad credit but I can make money.

Mexico has its own credit score system called El Buro de Credito. For mexican mortgages (in pesos) banks will pull from “El Buro” but not from the US credit bureaus/score. I only know of one bank that will take into consideration your US credit score/history, HSBC Mexico. Mexican peso mortgages are 20 years or less. There’s other options that will do a US credit score called cross border mortgages (in USD) but it normally requires a higher down payment and are for 15 years.

I think over time, she will definitely move somewhere else. She is quite adventurous, she lived in a camper before which I think is unsafe as well. So, this is already a step up from camper life.
