Hello Sir, my gratitude. Q: Any reason why you didn’t sector the retirement/pension investment in this list? Like PF, VPF, PPF, NPS, etc…. can we cover these as part of fixed income category? This section provide interest yield rate of 7-8% and moderate-high risk, not easy to liquidate.

Is there any history that Mutual fund company went into losses (or any kind of scam) and people who invested are affected? Or we can choose any index fund regardless of the platform like icici, zerodha, uti etc? I can understand that each ones needs are different but if you think any reliable platform/indexfund, please do suggest us. It will help us to start with.

I am not aware of any such scam with mutual funds. I know many scams in hedge funds, not in MFs though. Yes, those platforms are pretty safe. You can invest directly with the fund house as well like in UTI directly.

very informative. in one of the video you mentioned US folks buys home at the age of 40. would you explain more on that? is that a good decision or not?
@InvestmentInsightsTamil
@InvestmentInsightsTamil 4 жыл бұрын
Actually US folks would buy home sooner than that. In mid 30's. But they upgrade to a bigger home in early 40's. In US, the price to rent ratio is pretty decent that makes buying home not as bad as in India. But one mistake that US folks make is buying a bigger home than they need. It is not really that big of a mistake - more of a personal preference. But we should make that decision knowing that it has an impact on our financial growth. I would say - buy a home for your needs. Just don't buy it as an investment - because it is not.

See these strategies as tools available for you. You have to use it to fit your situation. I started investing when I was 29 - not far from where you are now. 31 is not that old. Yes - you will not be able to follow the exact strategy listed out here. But see where you can make changes in your life style to fit this in. At that point, it becomes a personal choice. Say for example, you can delay the purchase of home till you make certain multiple of your networth. Or delay the purchase of a new car, but buy an used one. The choice is in your hands.

5X would be your networth. So yeah it includes the growth as well. This video is focusing more on building wealth as a whole rather than for separate goals. So yes, it includes all of them. How to get rid of debt some tips
@InvestmentInsightsTamil
@InvestmentInsightsTamil 4 жыл бұрын
Best way to get rid of debts is: 1. Maximize the savings rate (The % of savings from your earnings) 2. Focus on the debt with the biggest interest rate and try to pay off that first while paying the minimum on the others. 3. Once that is paid off, move to the next one with biggest interest rate and pay that off. 4. Repeat until all are paid off. Do not try to invest before paying off any debts except home mortgage. Debt will sink us.

That is a tough question to answer. But it starts with how we approach a problem. I would recommend to read "Rich Dad Poor Dad" book to understand the psychology. There are many KZbin summary of that book as well. Search for it.

@@DineshKs Very good question. Its just not ours - Financial literacy is not taught in any of the education system. But thats an important one that should have been included starting from Elementary school.
