The dive bessel is actually to calculate total bottom time. Basically you set the 0 at current time when you start your descent and check the elapsed time when you start to go up. This will allow you then (combined with your pressure gate) to calculate residual Nitrogen in blood and how much you must wait before your next dive. Its now about oxygen in the tank.

They are all wateproof, some up to 600ft, all of them have been underwater, in saltwater etc.....and I have never had a single problem with any of them. The only problem I had was my crown was unscrewed and I got into the shower, and moisture collected under the crystal. It was still under warranty, but Invicta stood by it even though it was my fault, fixed the watch at no cost to me. I got it back within 10 business days, after they'd received it. RIGHT ON! I have many Invictas. I also have several Rolex, Longines, Casio, Breitling, Seiko (and some that don't immediately come to mind). I buy a watch because I like looking at it on my wrist. If a watch fails to work properly, then I don't like looking at it. So I take a few precautions on buying and wearing watches. I DON'T TAKE ANY WATCH IN THE WATER, no matter the waterproof claims. I don't need to know the time when I'm in the pool, since my cell phone is normally handy (which I also don't take in the water).Perhaps if I were an experienced diver, I would be disappointed with Invicta's dive watches. But then, I wouldn't likely have bought an Invicta watch (or any other watch that isn't generally used by professionals) for diving, or skydiving, or working in construction, or any other profession that would be hard on a timepiece that wasn't specifically made for a specific purpose, by a watchmaker who had a recognized reputation for making such a watch. My experience, in light of the above, has been positive for the numerous Invicta and inexpensive watches I've purchased because I like the way they look. If I buy a funky twenty dollar watch, and it doesn't work out of the box, or stops working after 6 months of casual use, then I figure, "that's life," and resolve not to buy that brand of watch in the future. Invicta does not fall into that category.. And, IMHO, it's hard for some people to be positive about anything.

Finally, an in-depth, unbiased review of the Invicta Pro Diver automatic from an actual consumer. Loved how you called out the idiots that didn't lock down the crown properly. I've owned about a dozen of these Pro Divers. Not all 8926ob's though. I had several different dial colors and bracelet/bezel combination colors to match my wardrobe. Never had issues with any of them. I ended up giving several of them to family members as gifts that preferred automatic watches. The Seiko has been my primary, almost exclusive go-to since the mid-70's. About 15 years ago I ventured out to other brands; including Invicta about 8-9 years ago. I had purchased the 8926ob. After wearing it to work a few times, a co-worker called my watch "trailer park trash" for buying that Invicta. He owned a few automatics >$1000. I couldn't resist this. I challenged him to a quality/performance competition. I told him to pick any of his watches (except a Seiko as I owned several at the time and wanted him to use one of the so-called elite brands he had). He decided to go with his Oris Aquis. Visual and outer structural quality I gave him the nod no arguments. After setting our watches to the time of our work computers (down to the second), we wore the same watches to work every day for a month. In the end, my Invicta gained only 11 seconds more than his Oris. So, he paid an additional $105 per second of accuracy. Granted this was just a desk diver competition but, neither of us were snorkel or scuba divers... which would have been a real quality test. Unless you are working with explosives or a military operation, I don't see paying that much for a few seconds that important.

In all fairness to Invicta there's about 40 watch companies or more that have copied the Rolex! For some reason Invicta is the only one that gets hate for it.

The bezel is not for calculating the air in the tanks! It's for timing until decompression has to begin and that is the point when nitrogen builds up in your blood to levels where if you resurfaced you would have bubbles in your blood that would kill you. The first 15 mins is sometimes a different colour because that is the no decompression time at 40 metres depth (limit for recreational diving).

Just found this review, very comprehensive and great video! I own a Rolex submariner two tone that I bought 11 years ago and as you stated, new ones are ridiculously priced and I didn't want to beat it up at the beach surfing. I bought an Invicta Pro Diver and like you am totally happy with it, and can't even believe you get this much watch for around $75! Anyone who is thinking about getting this watch, you just can't beat it....seriously! I mean nowadays just going out to a nice dinner is going to cost you $75. I don't know how they can sell this much watch for that price point. I'm buying a second one in the two tone with blue dial!

I’ve had my invicta pro diver for a year now. I absolutely love it. Keeps amazing time I only lose 1 minute a month. Has more revolutions per than a Rolex. I wear it swimming in the shower. I wear it wood splitting. It withstands the shock of an axe hitting wood. This thing is so tuff. I can go from -30 into a nice warm cabin it doesnt fog up or tick slow from the temperature change. I just love it. Will never switch now.

Great video and review, thanks for not being a “watch snob” and realizing some of us don’t want to spend $5k to $10k on a watch. I have a couple on these Invicta 8926OB models (as well as other versions of the Pro & Grand Diver) one with the stock ss bracelet and one with a black leather band. Changing the band is an inexpensive way to totally change the look of the watch. I love the look of them, especially at the price point. Invicta Pro-Diver, chronographs like the Casio Edifice models and the slightly more expensive Citizen Eco Drive allow me to have various watches and over the past few years and I’ve been able to buy about 10 watches for about $900-$1,000. My wife and kids can get me a watch for my birthday/father’s day/Christmas gift for only about $100 and I can actually use them without fear of destroying a really expensive watch. Thanks again for making the video.

People normally buying a $70 watch arent experienced and likely only owned inexpensive quartz watches. Not knowing it's automatic and not knowing about the screw-down crown is probably typical for a great majority of them. They like the look of the watch and that's about as far as it goes. Unfortunately, Invicta needs to place tags on the watch, that explain the function. I have 10 Pagani Design watches, most have the NH35a movement and are spec monsters with ceramic bezels, sapphire crystals, screw links, solid end links, and look beautiful all for around $70-$130. They are on AliExpress with free shipping (from China) and are on sale about 4-6 times a year.
