Undyne’s definitely my favorite. She’s my numbah one. Such a strong resolve. Such an honorable cause. ♥

@@kevo5133 My personal mental fan-fiction: Undyne is actually a good friend, or once was, of the kind one, who possessed the Heart of Kindness (the Green heart, or rather the Green Soul). They became friends. Unfortunate ones, but no matter the brieviety, they were, even if Undyne finds it now hard to accept. The reason why Undyne feels so much for cooking is because of, lets call them "Green." A young, but kind girl, who never even thought to harm a monster. "Green" was the first to try to befriend Undyne. They even taught her the basics of cooking, a specialty that "Green" was pretty good at. For a short time they were friends, teachers to one another, and perhaps even to a tiny handful of monsters who knew of their friendship, a symbol of hope. But the order then came. Escort her. To my flower room. Undyne was ready to fight... to save her. But... It was then that Green calmed her down. Green told her to take her there. That whatever happened, it would be fine. With these and/or other such words, she told Undyne that it would all be alright. But Undyne already knew, somewhere inside her. That this was really goodbye. Either she would win against Asgore's Heart and offer herself to the cause nonetheless, as her kindness was want to do. Or she would not win against Asgore's heart, and would offer herself through the battle, or rather martyrdom she offered herself to against the king's spear. There was no way out. But Undyne had no choice. She was the only one involved who knew enough to want it to not go forth, but was also wishing it not to do so as well. Both Green and Asgore's strong hearts and souls would not change. With great sorrow within, but a bright smile, like those in those manga heroes and heroines she loved from the stories a friend had shared with her. She walked the path. If she has any regrets, its that she didn't learn more from Green. But its fine, I'll just learn the rest on my own! I'll spare no flame and learn it at the hardest difficulty! ...So she may have thought among the many thoughts interspersed with dull inaction and sorrowful walking. The seed of Determination had been sowed. But it could not grow yet. The greatest battles are always inside. A true hero doesn't need to fight. Just like that "Mighty" hero from that random manga with the powerful punches... or something? Thus, Undyne's heart both softens and hardened at the same time. The one with the sorrowful face, hat and empty gun. The one who layed traps without intent to harm, but just to move forward. She had to take them out too. But the last one, was the worst for Undyne. The one who danced yet never fought. Undyne herself didn't know if she could take another time. She steeled herself the best she could. And then... *RED* appeared. Determination. One way or another, this one was dangerous, yet also a symbole of hope. Much like all those anime. Well, may as well look cool, right? I know, I'll suplex one of those rocks that are all over the place, show off to that human! Perhaps she thought such. Who knows, right? In the end, the Determination of Frisk is what determines what happens next. Were he unkind and cruel, then Undyne's Determination awakens in full, and a great battle occurs for the fate of monsterkind, and perhaps also all others too upon the world. Were he not, then Undyne cannot fully commit to the battle, and ends up second guessing herself enough to allow the human to escape. Becoming upset with herself, she chases after, but her mind wanders again. In the end, she just tires herself out. When did she come to the hot area? Ugh, definitely should have asked alphys for that heat-resistant suit after all, even if it was uncool... Seriously... less than 3m/10ft to a nice water cooler and this is how it is.... **SPLASH**

Undyne is the true hero in this timeline. This theme shows that quite clearly. She will never give up, knowing that you will kill everyone else if she loses. Death could not take her, determination made her strength increase ten-fold. You are the villain of this world, and she is the hero.

I don't know why they don't get even after Chara explain it to us. But this point is actually where people ALSO get it wrong. Because of this somehow everyone thinks Chara is a good person which is wrong. Like us Chara has an intention of killing every being. Even Asriel mentioned it at the end of pacifist route. Also when we started genocide it caused the awakening of Chara and eventually having more control when our power and sins keep eventually growing. Due to this he was the one initiated many of the battles. But it was our choice to keep going when we could have spared them. Many action that Frisk is doing automatically without us in control is Chara. Like how he started a fight with Monster kid and how he took a step forward in judgement hall even after Sans's warning. Not to mention that the monster kid noticed that weird expression in our face during that time too. If you think he destroyed everything to end the suffering then that's wrong. He destroyed everything because he has already completed his mission on getting his revenge on flowey aka Asriel for betraying him long ago and due to this Chara lost his life as well as his own soul. Since he killed Flowey there was nothing left over there and he destroyed everything. And why he did that is the beginning of another of his cruel plan. It was our choice the genocide route had to occur. But Chara knew something that because we have seen all that happens in this and how everyone suffered he knew we might never do this again and we will only do pacifist. He knew this and took advantage of this and decided to fix everything. Even after a true reset, our sins does not go away. Why I said that is because at the end of pacifist route after genocide route, Chara suddenly takes control over us and kills everyone (Or is this probably because we give him our soul at the end of genocide?). This is the post pacifist ending and you should definitely check it out and the difference between two choices at the end of pacifist. Therefore the conclusion is both Chara and us are evil but the genocide route is our fault and our choice. I'm sorry became too long before I even knew it.

I can imagine Undertale just being a dnd game, and the dm is getting mad their players continue to murderhobo, so he turns one of his npc’s that would have normally done nothing into a hero with the best equipment the town could give, to protect that very town from the murderhobos. The dm really wants the campaign to just end so he overtunes the fight bigtime, but the murderhobos have an insane amount of meta-knowledge and win the fight, so the game goes on anyway. The players say they actually really enjoyed the fight, so he begins to plan the finale with the determination to end the campaign once and for all.

"Slight"? I mean, the cadance through the song outside of the chorus pretty much gives away how it's a struggle with how it's quick sentences followed by a breathing pause that one is pretty slight. But by the end? The character is pretty blatantly out of breath, speaks exactly like someone who is physically exhausted with hearth racing but trying to speak anyway

can I add the fact that Undyne becomes Undyning because she becomes DETERMINED to defeat you stand against you and win even though things look grim. Sans he continues to fight for the kings sake so Asgore can take the 6 human souls and defeat you once and for all, Sans who uses his patience and Justice to hold out long enough, these are the only 2 characters who manage to use the power of DT and they are the only 2 who stand up and fight you against all odds to win.
