It’s called voice ACTING. Many people approach voices as ‘doing voices’ and that’s just not what it is. Doing silly voices or impressions is just doing voices. Voice acting is acting. It’s very difficult to properly emote if you aren’t fully immersing yourself and it will audibly come through if you aren’t truly acting. It’s part of the reason why companies will insist you smile while answering phones, because the tone of your voice will change from your facial expressions and body movement.

This advice…it’s so perfectly written. Like you’d think it goes against Viltrumite character but it doesn’t because all they do is close out emotions…but at the same time from Mark’s perspective the lesson isn’t necessarily to compartmentalize, but to not transfer his anger to his mom. It keeps Omni-Man the way his character is and lets Mark see him as a good guy with zero contradictions
