If I recall correctly, Dupli-Kate survived in the comics by having an extra version of herself that she did not send into battle. Nobody except Immortal knew about that. It may be too early to decide that Kate is dead.

I haven't read the comics, but some things got me thinking (if I accidentally spoil, I apologize): They made a big deal out of the crime syndicate in season 1 and we haven't seen any of those characters return (for the most part), while other seemingly minor characters have shown up. Cecil taking the quantum probability chip (or whatever it was called; going from memory of S1 here) seemed like a big deal, too. Since they like to pay off seemingly odd/minor setups in this show, I almost expect this to come up again at some point. The bug people who invaded from portals set up a premise of time working differently in different dimensions (/realities?). If Monster Girl gets younger every time she uses her powers and Robot is a super genius, I'd expect him to try to find a way to go to a useful dimension/reality to age them both somewhat. Since they have a dimension-hopping (/reality hopping?) character (probable antagonist) loose, he might provide the inspiration. The Mauler Twins have been exposed to this tech as well and might be able to help Robot figure it out, though he betrayed them last time, so who knows about that. If the coalition is building a force to beat the Viltrumites, I'd expect to see Battle Cat again. He had an easy time with Mark and could probably handle other Viltrumites, too. And they used Michael Dorn's epic voice, so it'd be a shame to not hear him again on this show.

I thought they would give Rex robotic parts BUT I remembered that Robot literally cloned him. So it wouldn't be far fetched to think he could regrow a new body for rex and put his consciousness in the new body. I just don't know if he can replicate his power, because you'd think he'd have the same power as Rex with his body, but that doesn't seem like the case

Russ was not hallucinating! If you go back to the mars episode you can see at the end that a squid was in the shapesmith's astronaut suit. This is the cause for the squid's appearance in this episode!
