Thanks so much for this very detailed presentation… I am 35 trays in a course of 55 trays… first refinements. I have a very complex case but my provider couldn’t be less helpful or communicative with me. So disappointing. That’s why I’ve turned to the internet for further information. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for all the details. What does the patient do while waiting for the retainer? Do they stay in the tray they are in? That part is confusing to me. Thanks in advance for your explanation.

Great question. We will routinely order for passive aligners at the end of the active set. That basically means we get four duplicate aligners that are not moving teeth. These are for the patient to wear while they are waiting to get their retainers.

I understand that putting on braces needs lots of skills and does it matter if invisilign provider is orthodontist since it’s all on the computer?

Great question! The success of Invisalign treatment is highly dependent on a skilled expert orthodontist diagnosing the patient and creating a customized treatment plan. While Invisalign does have complex computer programs to assist in treatment planning, the Doctor's input is critical. In our experience, relying solely on the computer program leads to lower quality outcomes and less efficient treatment. Thanks for the question!

Do you need X-rays? My dentist did not, but on the internet it says it is vital to get X-rays for Invisalign in the beginning?

We do recommend having comprehensive orthodontic records taken prior to starting orthodontic treatment. This includes updates x-rays.
