if you look closely, you'll notice that the trick is that the dice have the same number on all 6 sides. Invisible dice are notoriously easy to palm for sleight of hand, and when you mix that with a little distraction so nobody notices the irregularities of the dice, you get a good reaction like this.

​@@kleqy8455 Well, he has eight cards that are very expensive to build, which is why he forces them (each initial pick is only among about two possible cards). They have an internal antenna and a flexible eInk screen. The die is there to represent a remote that you can see him get out of his pocket at the start, and stick under the table (such that he can operate it with his knee if needed). He probably got inspiration from credit card advances like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ_Lc6dml9Rlo5I It is a bit of a dangerous trick, since if I were the tattoo lady, I would have claimed a 5 as a result of the die, both times, and it would have looked silly to have two copies of the same card on the table: one printed at the bottom of the deck, and one on the table.

My theory (for the first part because after that seems to be more classic sleight of hand shenanigans) is that he knows the most likely answer is 4, but he has a backup for if they ‘roll’ a different number. Also, I might be wrong but I think he might be memorizing the deck while the first girl is revealing her card, which is why he just gestures to her instead of speaking because he needs to focus. Of course he’s surely only memorizing the locations of 1-6s because I dont think even this guy (who is crazy good) could memorize a deck that fast. I think this trick just got lucky, like he was doing a bunch of tricks that night and that one just happened to go well. 1/6, or probably more considering people arent random and are in fact manipulable isnt that crazy after all. Like maybe if she said 3, he would have like counted how many cards it takes to reach a 3, and maybe for 2, he counts from the back or something? Maybe for 1 he asks them to roll again and if they reply with something not 6, he adds them up, and if 6, he says its 16 and the cards add up to 16. Four fours also reminds me of a math fact, where you can use addition subtraction multiplication division with four fours to get any number 1-10. Maybe for the less common answers he does some math, but I doubt it. A funny thing for 6 he could do is say “wow! a six! roll it again see if you get another!” and then his number is how many 6s they got in a row, hoping they dont get 6 in a row because the roller doesnt want to waste their friends time. All of this is just a theory of course.

Some here means the girl who roll the dice is a payed actor. I don't know how this trick works at all, but I'm sure she isn't payed. So to improve she could roll the dice the second time and another one should "read" it, so that the number comes from a different person.

While she is rolling he says, "and everybody roll different". He is saying that for a reason. Then after, he says, "for example, you rolled?" so he is leaving the door open to ask another person to roll if she does not choose 4. If she chose 3, he would have let another person roll the dice and they will choose a different number between 1 and 6 until someone says "4". Then he can continue with the trick. Same thing with the twos. He says it's not a loaded die and will roll a different number. So he will let people roll until someone says "2".
