My headcanon is that Phantom Ranger is actually Alex from Time Force… well from AFTER Time Force. The Turbo Rescue Zords were created from tech from the future, hence why they show up out of nowhere and are such a huge improvement over anything Zordon had given up until then. After the zords are destroyed, they get reverse engineered to make the Lightspeed RESCUE Zords (caps for emphasis). Also, I agree 💯 with your opinion of the figure.

This particular toy is called "In Space Phantom Ranger" and seems to be more based on his appearance in the Legacy Wars game than in the show, hence the chest laser and Turbo Navigator. I would not be surprised if Hasbro later re-releases him as "Turbo Phantom Ranger" with corrected helmet paint and no hole in the ruby. Along with that, I fully expect them to do a clear plastic "cloaked" version as an exclusive as well a Morphinaut figure from the comics. That way they get four different figures from one mold of an otherwise unique sculpt.

If they wanted to call him "In Space" then that was really the time to give him a battle damaged chest or some other small props/accessories from In Space. There's otherwise no difference to his suit. There is no hole in his power-source ruby, and all of the paint is there exactly as it was in Turbo. And if the chest blast effect is in reference to the video game, then calling it "In Space" also doesn't make sense. The "In Space" battle damage would have been cool! I'm not sure how many fans will buy four Phantom Ranger variants. But, I showed the clear Harry Potter cloak variant in a previous video, saying I hope they do that with Phantom, and I still do. But, there's no reason for four versions of him. They should have just gotten it right the first time. (Or added the battle damage to the chest)

The hole is annoying, but it can be filled in or covered up for anyone who really can't stand it. Another option, if they really needed a hole there so badly... is have a ruby that plugs in. It's overall a great line, they just do some odd/annoying things every so often.

That's tough. I don't think I could even narrow it down to team. For rangers, I'm all about full teams vs just an individual ranger. For monsters, I'm always wanting the main bad guys and a handful of monster-of-the-day monsters. Even within the first 10 seasons, I'd like to see a lot of different characters from Turbo, still would love a Darkonda, and Quantrons, finish Lost Galaxy, get to Lightspeed (great looking monsters in that season too!), Time Force needs more love, and of course really looking forward to Wild Force...

The hole is weird. As for being the first Turbo figure, everything has to start at the beginning. When the line started there was only one ranger from MMPR, only one ranger from SPD, only one ranger from Dino Charge. More figures get released as time goes on. They can't do every ranger ever all at once, or we'd all be incredibly broke.

Great review man! Even though it's missing some paint details, the texture of his suit is quite remarkable. As for Billy, he has gained a lot of knowledge about Eltarian technology over the years, so i can picture him wearing the suit for that reason. Yeah the hole in the ruby was something that bothered me as well, it WOULD explain why Phantom turns invisible so often. Let's just hope Dino Thunder Black won't be facing the same technical difficulty on its release!

Another Morphenomenal review, Bruno! :D It is a shame that the Phantom Ranger is missing a few paint details, and that the ruby in the center of his chest has a hole in it, and not filled out, especially when you compare it to the original Turbo figure back in the late 1990's where it was much better painted to properly match the original VRV Master suit from Carranger--not to mention it had a really fun gimmick (I do miss Bandai making the PR toys, but, I understand why they aren't anymore)--, but otherwise, the figure truly is "phantastic"! :) It's also pretty cool that Hasbro even managed to hide the pin joints for the arms, and legs, as well as having him actually able to hold his weapon (unlike some of the other figures in the line so far)! ^^ Sorry the plastic covering in the box got severely damaged when it arrived at your house, as well as him becoming invisible... :/ Hopefully if I ever get my own Phantom Ranger (Lightning Collection), he won't become invisible. XD As for if I think Phantom should've been revealed, or not, I think he should've been revealed so we could know who he was.

And I haven't heard any updates from the manager, since she lets me know whenever one of my pre-orders arrives. I know Pudgy Pig, the Pink Ranger 2 pack, and one of the Power Rangers X TMNT crossovers are in, but that's about it(as of this reply)

I really went out of my way to ignore that in this video. Just take a marker and cross out "In Space" on the box and problem solved 😀 I don't know why they felt the need to do it that way, but text on the box really doesn't matter, to me, at least. And I'm sure they'll be happy to sell him to us again with "Turbo" written there instead later. I'm more focused on the hole in his chest where the ruby should be.
