Nations are not imagined. Family and culture is the bedrock of the nation, shared values connect you to those in your culture without having to know them on a personal level. There is nothing artificial about it that can be rationally removed and replaced. Also, the other is an extremely valuable idea. These are historical truths. Ex. Native Americans got annihilated by smallpox because they allowed "the other" to gain foothold in their nations. Its called the behavioral immune system and you're out of your depth for having a PhD and lecturing people. Maybe 8 years ago you didn't know about the parasite stress hypothesis but you might wanna update your theses
