The Man From The Dark Side .... I beg to differ. I was abused and raped from the age of 3. Not from within my family, but outside of my family. I grew up on a farm, but we were very poor. I had 5 younger brothers and I can remember the times that we got new shoes and clothes. I also remember my brothers crying for something to eat. The little clapboard house was freezing in the winter and hot as heck in the summer. We had no running water, but our home and every kid was as clean as a pin! Education was important. So was integrity and dignity and Christianity. All of my brothers have done exceedingly well in life. I became a professional singer and songwriter. I have even modeled. All that we have become we owe to having little to nothing as children. We had to learn discipline, respect, and to be creative. Nothing was handed to us that we have not earned. I lost my younger brother to cancer two years ago. I was with him until he breathed his last breath. Twice before he died he woke from a deep induced sleep to raise his arms upward as if embracing someone. He had a genuine happy smile on his face. I asked him if he was seeing angels... he nodded yes. On a piece of paper he wrote,” GOOD DEATH.” I can hardly write this, because I grieve him still. I know where he is and that I will be with him again, but I miss him. Is life precious? You darn right it is and that’s no BS!

@delilahrainelle71585 жыл бұрын
Abdul Basir Al-Armini ... but kindness and love are not confined to a specific era. I grew up extremely poor. I have seen my mother cry, because she had nothing to feed us. I have heard my brothers cry themselves to sleep because they were hungry. We had very little, but we never complained. I remember some times when we would have a little money and we would go with mama to buy a few groceries. Rarely did we ever go anywhere, but when we went to buy groceries there was a little boy who stood on the sidewalk selling papers. His clothes were clean, but ragged. His body was clean, but he was badly in need of a haircut. He had no shoes. He looked evacuated. Perhaps we looked the same way to him and perhaps my heart hurt so much for him, because I had a personal understanding of his sufferings. Anyway, whenever he was there at the time we were, my mama would make sure she had a little something for him. She wouldn’t take a paper. That way, he could keep the money. Once we saw him on the corner selling papers. His tennis shoes were well worn and the thin little jacket he had was not enough to keep him warm. As we were going into the store, a man and his well dressed wife were coming out with a cart overflowing with groceries. The man paused to buy a paper. The young boy said,”Thank you sir.” Not more than three feet from the youngster, the wife chastised her husband for wasting his money on a another worthless newspaper. As they walked away she said the cruelest things about that little paperboy. Although, I was only 5 years old I wanted to hurt that woman. I had never experienced that type of ugliness. I wanted to run to the little boy and hug him. I wanted to make him “Rich.” I’m sure that she hurt his feelings, but he never let on. What a mean old woman to hurt such a timid; meek and well mannered little child. I knew that he knew that I knew he was poor, but he carried himself as if he had no knowledge of what being poverty stricken was. He had a pride about him, but it was not arrogance or vanity; it was integrity. think there are some circumstances in life that make us more sensitive to others; some things make us stronger and we are better because of it. I often remember those days and the little paperboy. I wonder what he grew up to be. I’m sure about one thing. He did not grow up looking down his nose at others.

Oh and by the way you come across as phony and magnanimous with your SIR,and blaming all that is,wrong with the world on society, remember we have choices in this world, and many people have overcome dire obstacles and have made successful lives for themselves.
@geraldmorris99854 жыл бұрын
@@lorraineforte9175 Indeed and I understand that we need to place accountability and responsibility on the victim but mental illness is a part of this I think and with that I'm including the possible abusive home he fled from. It's unfortunate you see my comment as magnanimous. It was more a self reflective and a comment that included myself and for you to help understand the tone, said in a more reflective and lucid state. I wish he could have gotten the help I think he needed to live simply a better and happier life. I suppose it's more about wishing we could have helped him earlier in life to find the tools in himself that in turn he could use to help himself throughout his own life. I just see so many homeless people that are actually mental illness issues as well that I think are slipping between the ever growing cracks in our society. Fathers can be such fuckwads. My own father is a very difficult man with a horrendous temper and attitude and hit my mom. He was violent. I left home in 2002 at 24 and never came back. I was much older so I just found a job and put myself through higher education. This poor man had to leave at 8. Wow. That is simply unacceptable. Shame on the Canadian government as well for not doing something for this man. People who have good fathers and good homes will never know what's it's like to deal with a psychotic parent. It's HELL.

@Richard Carpenter Man, you're good people indeed, i am actually only 22, but have lived far more then one would expect, difficult health issues truly make a man grow up faster then otherwise stated, though it is nice to see older people with some sense. You're quite right about covid and the shitty future potential leadership we have to choose from, at least you got to see america in your youth when it was still a proud yet powerful country before one sided politics and pissy cry babies took a hold of it and its traditions... It also must of been great to see things made in the us.... As they say, im an old soul stuck in a young persons body, i never once identified with the insanity of my generation or the one befores throws... i see where were going and it certainly not a good place, by the time im your age, there certainly will be no standards... I hope i don't live past 35.... When i was a little kid, i seem to have caight the very tail end of a normal society, but even then it was fairly faded away. Good day brother. Hope ya smoked a bit and enjoyed yourself fishing. Don't worry about people like jenn pushing their thought controlling dogma following it blindly because its all they ever known, only adhering to it out of fear without thinking for themselves while trying to push it on everyone as a cope because reality is to harsh to see it for the beast it is..
