When I was 6 years old my family was homeless and living in a campground in a tent for several months until we got back into a house. As amazing as I find his and his wife's fortitude, I also have to think them equally as irresponsible, and their poor children could well end up serious victims of their parent's actions. That happened to me. I had sold my house and was not sure what area I wanted to live in permanently so I rented a house. Three months after I moved in with a one year lease I had a knock on the door from the bank representative telling me that the owner of the house I rented had not paid the mortgage in three months. It was me and my daughter. I was shocked. But I found out that the bank had to give me three months due to the court date for the reprocessing. So he told me you can stay three months and pay the owner or not it your choice. So we stayed the three months I keep that rent money and found a place. I actually rented a room from a friend to have the time to figure out just where I wanted to be. So I have come a long way since then. And so the first chance I got I bought land. Now we always have a home. Even if it’s in a tent. We can be on our on land. But we have put a cabin on the property now and if one of my children wants to live there the sky is the limit. They can have a tiny house and RV or build a huge house. There is room for all of my family. That eviction taught me a lesson that has benefited not just me but my children and any future family. We will have a home. And in my will I have stated it is never to be sold. Only passed to family. And my girls know where and where to pay the taxes if I am ever unable to. God bless you I hope you find your forever home.

I want to tell you a sad story. I know an elderly person that wanted to die at his home not in a elderly place, so one of the daughter(adopted daughter) that was chosen to be on his will, so the monster daughter wanted to sell the elderly man's home so that she still could have some money for her. In her mind his money would disappear due to his health condition needing 24 nursing, etc, and she thought that a nursing home is cheaper and she would have some money left for her. The point here: The elderly man worked so hard in his entire life to have his home where he could enjoy and relax until he dies. And then he got Auzheimer when he was around 85 years old, and the greedy daughter dumped him in nursing home with strangers and did not even allow the step daughter to continue taking care of him at his own home. The adopted daughter and the step daughter was on the will. So it does not matter if you have a home, somebody evil will take your home and dump you in a nursing home. It should have laws to prevent people dumping elderly peopl on nursing home against their will. It just like I put you on my will to take care of my dog with all the comfort and care until he dies, but you decide to dump my dog in a shelter. It's really scaring get old with or without family around you. Scaring.

Gee what happened that Jesus hasn't found you a home then. Oh I know there is no god to provide. We are all on our own. Forget god, religion . Just accept you have to sort this out.
I remember when my husband and I separated because he abandoned my son and I for another woman and her child and I had to move into a hotel room .We had bought a new home spacious with new furniture then we became less involved and I was pushed out of my home to call a small rundown hotel my home. I had to provide for my son on a fixed income when I was used to two therefore reality sat in and I was living a dream then thrown into a bug infested small room with a TV with hardly any stations and rundown furniture .At times I felt like God was punishing me because he was living good with his mistress income wearing nice clothes and shoes while my son and I had barely three items. And if you were wondering about our new furniture and old belongings when he left I couldn't pay the rent so I moved to a cheaper place and the landlord held our things for payment but soon through it on the streets for others to collect at a date we wasn't aware of. I know struggle and it was times when we didn't have hardly nothing to eat and all I could do was cry when my three year old head was turned .I know what it's like to have everything to because I grew up into a suburban household but lost it when my father the provider passed in2002.Of coarse my mom income was nice yet my family struggled with his death. Finances wasn't good for my mother and sibling . It was times we had no food so this experience was similar to my current circumstances .Things got better with time and I learned to not look down on others because you just never know.I was in a hotel room yes but lived in a nice home to end being yanked out of that lifestyle quick .Now in 2018 I see this family and know exactly what they mean . It makes me look at my life now and what I have which is alot .My son has everything he dreams of nice clothes ,shoes, cellphone, laptop a room that looks like it came out of rooms to go .But in the end we can always revert back to familiar surroundings quick . Knowing that this dream can end because my mother and I share bills ,if something happens to me or her this dream can be done for and that's scary .At night i prey to God for stibility which is assurance that we will continue to be alright .I feel that's what most people fear is to be able to keep up with the American dream .It can kill you the stress but I haven't felt that in a decade . I see this family and my heart melts .The closeness is bueatiful that's the glue that's will hold them together .I prey they overcome anything or anyone that stands in there way because God is good even through the bad he is with us .Life is a test you have to Ace it under pressure and pass with flying colors if you're immune to succeeding .It's not what you do to utilize life but how you do it .Pain is only temporary never permanent but you have to believe in God through it all because he is the healer ,provider ,our strength .And what God has in store for you not no man can't block his blessings.I know because the man who left my child and I is homeless with mental issues the mistress left him and I'm living good with not a care in the world .He thought he had the power to take away life but God had other plans and I'm a living wittness.God bless the family Amen.

With an apartment, you have to come up with a security deposit and the first-month and sometimes the last month. Even if rents only $600 you would need $1200- $1800 to move in. Not to mention application cost which can be anywhere from $20-$50 for each adult. Then you have to pay a deposit on your Electricity which can sometimes be anywhere from $250-$500 for them to turn it on. Usually the only time a family this size has money like that us during tax return time. Who has an extra $3000 to move at the drop of a hat? I should but I don't.

Then they thank the good Lord for everything.. Where is the empathy and caring for our fellow people? Don't buy them luxury or ten huge lamps with eight liggtbulbs each because then you need to pay their electricity-bill too, but buy them one simple lamp for their small rent-apartment, or one for each room. cradleygirl I hope they find a way out of this situation. But, honestly if You are living from paycheck to paycheck, that would be THE main reason not to have 6 children. If you have 1 or 2 the wife could could get a part time job while they are in school to help pay bills.Raising children and living expenses are so expensive that often both parents need to work to make it.What if the husband has an accident and can't work anymore. They did not own their home .It would be different if they own a house. You could sell it , move into an apartment and live of the money from selling your home. If you are renting , anything could happen. The landlord has a right to sell his house and the new owner may want to live in the house himself. Getting married does not mean you have to have kids right away if you have no savings .People could both work for a few years , save some money and than have kids . They seem like loving parents, but raising kids in utter poverty is not fair to the kids. The father seems like such a nice person, but he can not afford such a big family.Thats the real problem.

Mark, the inhumane comments and absolute hate from others messes me up more than this video. They have love, they have a loving mom and a hard working dad. That's devastating their landlord didn't even warn them, took their money and didn't pay the mortgage they didn't asked for this. Prayers to them and you. ( The kindness below also restores some faith in humanity) love to all.

I don't understand the "two hours" to get out. I am a landlord. No one can just throw people out in the street without going through the courts with an eviction process. There are several steps to filing papers and issues of warnings. It doesn't happen within hours. It takes me around 20 or more days to file the papers, get them delivered by a courier, have the court review them, etc. Only when all the notices have been ignored does a sheriff show up and tell you to get out. These notices come in the mail to the address being foreclosed, except the first notice, the Three Day Notice. Now unless different states have different laws, I can't see how this happened. Plus, they were able to get a local agency to pay for a motel room temporarily. It doesn't make sense. Most court houses also have a section in it that is for cheap legal counsel and representation. You can file your own rebuttal to an order, and that can put the process on hold. Many don't know who to go to in these situations, so if you find yourself stuck, call your local courthouse and ask who to speak to that can help you.

@Manas Chakraborty I am a veterinary surgeon. I had a green card and used to work in NY. Was earning little over 100k $ per year. But then they revoked the green card, I knew if I stay in US all my savings would be gone within 3-4 years. I came back to India within 8 months of revoking of my green card. I had a lot India cause of the currency conversion. Now I have a chicken farm. Also have a vet clinic but you know the attitude of people in India towards veterinarians. They don't even consider us as doctors!!

I have a brother who makes $100K/year, is a full time, single dad, with two kids at home. It’s still not enough to be able to afford to buy a house in Southern Ontario, Canada. With the housing market so high, rent has ballooned with it, making it unaffordable for single income families to get by. It’s absolutely crazy! He’s always been a hard working man, but it’s not enough to get by. The pay has not kept pace with the skyrocketing costs of living. Plain, and simple. God bless, and keep your family safe, and together.

I've also been homeless as well. Twice unfortunately and it gets to me how mean these ignorant assholes are. So what they have six kids. They were not homeless at the time I bet. AND two most of the ppl who are speaking so negative I would love to take everything away from them for 30 days and then see how they feel after that. No-one chooses to be homeless. Shit happens. Ppl lose jobs and sometimes theirs not jobs around to get. I just pray that this family are doing better and are back on their feet. It's hard to be homeless and even harder with kids. I have a daughter and we became homeless and I did everything in my power to make things better and after 3 yrs of being homeless we had finally got an apartment and even though things are still hard. I've tought my daughter to give to anyone who is less fortunate and she has. I believe it also has to do with what we went through. But thankfully we have a roof over our heads. She has cloths. I make sure she has everything she needs. AND this spring we are going to make a lemonade stand so we can help out families who need the help and give them new shoes, cloths, bookbags, anything we can do. My daughter had come up with the idea and wants to do it so very bad that when I told her that we can do it she was overjoyed and jumped around thanking me for us being able to do this for kids and families who are less fortunate. She's a great kid and I was blessed to even be able to have her. A true miracle child. I wish that more adults acted like children do in the fact that kids are very caring, compassionate ppl, they don't see color in another human being. They just see another person. Their such pure beautiful souls. These adults can learn alot from a child. But ppl who think and talk the negative way they do will most likely get some kind of karma in the end. Hey I myself had left an abusive relationship between her father and I saved up money to get away. I moved Into a trailer park, bleached the walls ceiling, floors, the whole 9. Move everything in. Turn the heat on and accidentally turned it up too high. We didn't live their for not even 2 weeks and I spent most of my money for rent+security, I paid 3 months of rent in advance as well so that when I had to turn everything on I knew that the first two months might be hard so that's why I paid the rent 3 months in advance. Then found out the place was infested with bed bugs only after the heat was turned up to high. My daughter was 3 at the time and had gotten bitten more than anyone could imagine. We lost everything except the things that were wood. AND some cloths. We stayed with a friend for 3 months but it didn't work out and I left her father and had 4500$and within 3 1/2 months was broke and homeless living in one shelter and then another one. We lost everything twice and even had my daughter's Xmas presents stolen out of our efficiency apt. At one of the family shelters by an employee. We went through hell literally. She's 9 now and just had her birthday a couple of days ago. And even though money is still tight were still going to have this lemonade stand and raise money for other families that are homeless and can't afford things that may seem simple to some but for others is a struggle. I couldn't be more proud of my daughter for wanting to do such a selfless act for ppl she doesn't even know. I hope we can make a difference for as many families as possible. AND my hats off to you for your comment as well. It's sad that only ppl who went through or are going through hard times are the only one's with a heart. I see that alot of the ppl who do what they can to pay it forward are alot of the times ppl who don't have much themselves and are living paycheck to paycheck. God bless you and I hope all goes good for you in your life.

You bleeding heart idiots defending this couple is whats wrong with society. You don't hold them accountable for making shitty decisions nor do you recognize that they need to take responsibility for the poor decision making that led them and their 6 kids to be living out of a motel room and soon to be on the streets. It does not matter if the landlord was not paying his mortgage and that his house got repossessed by the bank. Yes, its unfortunate that they needed to move out on short notice but the fact they could not find another suitable place to live or afford it for that matter speaks volumes about their dire financial situation before the eviction occurred. Quite simply, these individuals should not have had 6 children that they are in no position of supporting. Your compassion and sympathy is wasted on these individuals because they fail to see how they got themselves into this mess. They are ignorant, uneducated and even worse, have continued to breed to the detriment of society. An absolute drain on resources.

No one chooses to be homeless but many put themselves there, by the poor life choices that they have made. drug addiction is the biggest cause of homelessness by far more then any other cause, which makes up the majority of homelessness in this country. So what do you do with the drug addic homeless people that don't want to stop their addiction and get help? There's nothing you can do, because they don't want to help themselves. I'm not being heartless, just being realistic

It really bugs me to see so much hate in the comment section about this family going through their hard time. Comments like instead of getting fake tans and tattoos they should have saved their money for emergencies. So I thought I would help people think critically about this family’s situation for a moment. 1) Those aren’t fake tans. 2) Did you ever think for a moment that he got the tats before he had a family, which he probably did. 3) There was no mention of this family receiving government assistance, which says to me that he was able and is still able to financially support his family. 4) 6 kids is way too many omg?!?!? Umm since he could support them financially what’s it matter to you? 5) Other than not thinking ahead for the what if’s in life, and the financial emergencies they may come across ( which over 50% of house holds are living paycheck to paycheck) there was literally nothing anyone should really be criticizing. 7) Ask yourself if you were put in a similar situation would you have enough living expenses, or an emergency fund to support your family? I would guess 50% of people would not according to the current statistics out there. So I would take a hard look at my own home situation before criticizing someone else.
