Yeah, Shaddoll Fusion is never going to send from deck, Winda and Construct are quite weak against Tribute summon.dek, Super Poly is dead against Domain, and the maindeck Phantazmay is just awful.

I feel this is a balanced bracket placement for the 2, yes Shaddoll has the time advantage with having more options, yet Monarch has the matchup advantage. Makes for a more interesting match.

On paper, you'd think Invoked would have the advantage despite having a relatively bad matchup just by virtue of being a newer deck with a solid, consistent engine. Normal summon Aleister is pretty strong, the Shadolls have some strong effects, it has stronger side deck options than Monarchs in cards like Evenly and Lightning Storm, not to mention Mechaba, etc. Hypothetically, the Shadolls and side deck options can give them options for dealing with cards like Domain without going into the side, and Mechaba can be difficult to deal with when paired with other disruptions or follow-up. But, I have learned from watching the series over the years that if Lithium is playing Monarchs against a stronger deck in the cbc it activates his protagonist powers.

I’m not sure if the music volume was low but I really enjoyed it! Made the video very relaxing and chill, intentional or not. OF COURSE you did well with monarchs! However a lot of what Invoked Dolls brings to the table is just 0% effective against Monarch

The thing about Domain Monarch is that it kind of just plays around all the things that make Shaddolls good. They REALLY need Monarch to brick to get anywhere against it.

I suppose, Danger Dark World is one of the few decks that _can_ make Apo before Nibiru is live while still being able to extend beyond that.

Watch the deck list xd. Danger dark world ftk has an even stronger card called azathoth. So, every deck that doesn't have access to imperm can't stop the ftk by any means.

This matchup has gotta be like 90-10. Shaddoll Fusion isn't able to send from deck, Winda and Construct are both garbage in this matchup, and the deck doesn't have a good way to out the domain lock. Really just have to pray that Monarchs brick.

It was surprising to see people think shaddolls were favoured here I suppose they saw 2020 vs 2016 and automoatically went for the newer deck, but this was an awful matchup for shaddoll G2 they should've probably tried doing something under maxx c since they knew domain was back in hand, but still, being a mr4 fusion deck means they can't really otk consistently so that was probably always a loss

It's not searchable. Plus you want to be able to use your monsters to proc your monarch spells, which vanitys can't, but majestys can

Game one...Monarchs open the god open, and Shadoll goes second with Double Phantazmei...yikes. That was a harbinger. BIG upset imo. Pretty sad showing from Invoked Shadoll! I guess I underestimated how few answers they have against Domain going second, but I thought they would at least take the going first games easily. Terrible matchup, but you would expect any decent 2020 deck to slaughter a 2016 or earlier one. Next matchup, Dark World FTK is going to get whammied hard. Swordsoul basically can't lose going first, and they probably only need to break Dark World's serve once going second.

It's honestly so funny how basically nothing Invoked Shaddoll would normally do works against Monarchs. Winda? Construct? Yeah I only special summon once anyway. Shaddoll Fusion? You don't even *have* an extra deck. Fusion and Link summons? Not under Domain lock.

2:30 shaddolls should have made construct to send arial and banish the pantheism to prevent the search. Even without hand knowledge removing the search would have been the right play. with hand knowledge it would have prevented the TwTw discard from adding back pantheism (if they chained to ESF there wouldn't have been a banished pantheism yet). Ultimately it would have resulted in monarchs having 4 cards in hand and shaddolls hoping they don't have domain + tribute.
