Pre-recorded video! VOTES: GB (12%) vs. Xyz Infernity (88%) :D

Wasn't Sehabi's list from Nats better or am I remembering wrong? I just feel like not having grepher/monk in the deck is way worse.

As it turns out, cold wave is a pretty good card
@WShoup98187 ай бұрын
Oof imagine not flipping up emptyness. Yes you can't do anything but you can delay a turn or two when coldwave passes. Huge upset because infernity didn't wanna use their floodgate.

mkay but infernity ACTUALLY threw. the person playing infernity clearly just did not want them to even try to win. i’m not saying it would’ve been different but dude, set maxx c, flip vanity’s, JUST TRY LIKE WHAT
@donaldlivingston757 ай бұрын
That match was....very weird. It felt like Infernity had plays on multiple occasions and just...didn't do them? Infernity looked WAY worse than I've ever seen. Anyway, great upset by Gladiator Beast. LADD and Metalfoes probably still move on, but they are making it interesting. Next matchup is a really fun one! Rulers v Metalfoes. Both decks which can resummon everything turn after turn. Kirin should be downright nasty in this matchup. Overall flexibility of Metalfoes probably carries them.

I was rooting for GB's - they're one of my nostalgia decks, but I thought infernity would most likely have the advantage. Close match, but happy to see Glad Beasts take the W.

I wonder what GB could have been if they were given battle phase focused support to function like Tenpai, rather than support to make them function like just another combo deck.
@FostedFlake7 ай бұрын
People forget because of all the propaganda in Edison format that GB was not even close to a bad deck in its hay day, I think modern GBs might even do worse than og cause they don’t have cold wave and are still clunky

I hope you see this because I believe it’s important. I have seen the most skilled players play MST then heavy storm in order to clear a back row. Ideally, this would be to MST, a solemn judgment and then clear the rest of the back row in order to move forward. I’ve done this myself. Please make sure you’re using this technique moving forward.

now that i think about it, there is always xyz infernity but this was initialy made as a synchro deck and with links does infernity also have a lot of stuff to do. was there never successful infernity during those times?
@sejotejerina37327 ай бұрын
We've seen synchro infernity in previous editions, and it made it to finals once, same for the XYZ version. Links infernity? Infernity never was meta relevant in MR4 and MR5, KZbin combo videos are just copium basically. If you've seen something like that doesn't mean it's really good, you have to watch tournament results to see good deck lists in competitive.

@sejotejerina37327 ай бұрын
The triple Trish deck list was featured before and didn't do that well xd. This version and the synchro version with triple barrier and 0 Trish made it to finals in previous editions, so these are the good infernity builds. The thing is, the deck is super unpredictable, sometimes is nuts, sometimes underperforms, and as you've seen, pilots also are a thing in this so... Yeah.
