Just a tip next time try an impact drill it makes the drilling process much easier and a better connection because it really pulls the peices together. Awesome build 👍

Hau Koda (Hello my friend) greetings from the Great Sioux Nation of South Dakota. The Big Sioux river runs through our reservation (Pike, walleye, catfish, crappie, perch, carp, lots of fish. When I was young back in the early 1960s my brother and I run a trap and snare line of about 20 miles up and down the river. On numerous occassions due to weather we would have to hold over for the night. We had two "stops" we called them places to hold over for the night. Nothing fancy both stops had a fireplace and was well built (summer we would always make sure the stops were in good shape and ready for winter. Yours are my favorite videos, I hate the cooking part its never any good yet I find myself watching you cook and enjoying it, you are a good cook! Keep up the good work and making such good videos. This old Native will be watching from South Dakota. Ohan Mitakuyaoyasin (we are all related)

Greetings, I love that forest area of Ukraine and others that produce the bushcrafters of this type and videos. The landscape and wildlife are spectacular!! Great video, I was in building trades for 40 years, this was an accomplishment of enjoyment. So it might not be perfect, guess what? No inspectors, lol. Enjoy yourself and please make more videos for us to watch.

It’s not hard to believe walking around in the Bush and coming across an abandoned cabin. We come across call mining cabins all the time. I think why he was so well prepared wise. He came across it prior and doing the right thing. He would’ve asked around and got more info on whose property It belong too. And perhaps he made a deal A little maintenance to stay overnight a few times. Don’t really know but I think that would be the proper way of going about it.

I think so. If you notice, the new door is angled differently than the one he cut out. It seems like he may have thought the orientation of the pieces would be stronger that way. :)

I was with you all the way, UNTIL you broke out the milled boards. Repurposed materials is fine. But I think most folks that have to start with nothing won't have that option or luxury. I'm not hating on your build. You did good work. An I commend you for. Personally I only use materials I find and or cut an mill myself. I don't use nails or screws, mortice and tenon, hand tools only no chainsaws, generators, just a solid mindset and good work ethic. Survival I take seriously. Again no hate. Just a different take and opinion. Your building a club house and get away cool. Maybe make it a learning curve for folks that want learn how to do it with less. Thank you for your time. Enjoy yourself. Good luck in the future.

I always thought “bush craft” was using what you got from the land to build, like cutting the wood or finding falling trees, this is all processed wood using drills etc. nice build but I wouldn’t call it Bush craft exactly.
