If you want INXS (in excess) in front of a massive appreciative crowd,check out their 'Live Baby Live' concert at Wembley Stadium 1991...when INXS were the biggest band in the world at the time. Try 'Suicide Blonde' first maybe. Trust me,it was an outstanding concert👍👍🇦🇺

I think you may be right. The Easybeats way back in the day deserve a mention because they were the first. Midnight Oil deserve a mention because there lyrics referenced so much Australiana and they still made it. But INXS probably do top the list!

Love INXS, listen to these every day. Its In excess. INXS for short. Michael Hutchence was an astounding singer and performer. But tragedy struck in NOVEMBER 1997, when this beautiful man was found hanged in a Sydney Hotel Room. They are a Australian Rock Band. RIP MICHAEL HUTCHENCE 💖

This is a performance in front of an ARIA MUSIC AWARDS audience. They have to be sedate and well behaved as performers and others in the Australian music scene are honoured, awarded and applauded. This was also a more relaxed vibe, kind of performance from INXS and I think the audience were definitely enjoying the whole cruisyness of the light and shade, smooth dynamics. If it had been one of their more usual powerfully dynamic performances, I reckon they would've been helpless to control their sheer enthusiasm. After all INXS is known best for performing ' in excess ' of expectations.

At one stage they were the BIGGEST band in the world, and Hutchence was in the same league as Mick Jagger and Jim Morrisson. The drummer, guitarist and keyboardist are brothers. They started in Perth as the Farris Brothers and Hutchence and Andrew Farris were regarded as songwriting machines which could churn out catchy pop tunes at will

They have so many more songs, and were quite diverse. This is more low key that most of their work. Iconic band. Michael Hutchence the lead singer's death was such a tragedy. It's pronounced as if you are saying 'in excess'. Never Tear Us Apart, I Need You Tonight, Mystify, New Sensation and Don't Change are great songs of theirs. These guys bought the block of units next to mine in Sydney and were my neighbours for awhile. Really lovely people. Michael used to park his custom Harley in my front yard. 💖

Michael Hutchence and INXS were Australian icons. Michael was a rock god who prowled the stage like a cat. They were internationally successful however INXS never recovered after his sad death. His funeral in Sydney was televised in Australia and we all mourned his passing. Vale Michael Hutchence!

INXS is pronounced 'in excess' 🙂 They were a great Aussie band. Sadly, lead singer Michael Hutchence committed suicide in 1997. They tried other singers, but it didn't work out in the long term. The audience in this video were there for an industry awards night, so they were much quieter than a normal crowd.

A lot of people, including myself, believe that Michael was making a plea for help. He knew Michelle was on her way and probably expected her to 'save' him, but she didn't arrive in time. He was also extremely sleep deprived, and was abusing prescription medication and illicit drugs and alcohol. I think he made a capricious decision and paid the ultimate price.

This was a subdue performance and behind the scenes Michael's life was falling apart and was in tears and sobbing before this performance. Know one knew this for a long time. As you get to know INXS, you will see that they are a kick ass live band and are very dynamic!

INXS is a band that got together in high school in 1977 with 3 Brothers and 3 of their mates and were together until Michael Hutchence passed in 1997, Rest In Peace Michael. Please check out “Never Tear Us Apart” from the early 80’s and anything from their concert Wembley Stadium 1991. Wembley Stadium concert is a must, they paid for it to be recorded as they were at the height of there success there were 74, 000 fan’s at a sold out show in London! RIP to the late great lead singer Micheal Hutchence he was a incredible charismatic frontman and singer! Go react to Wembley Stadium New Sensation, Suicide Blonde, What You Need, Need You Tonight and if you want to hear a banger by INXS they had a song that was on The Lost Boys soundtrack with another Australia singer name Jimmy Barnes, he and Micheal Hutchence were great friends and you’ll love it! You can find live versions of that or what the official video they did for that and it’s a freaking banger even for today, I promise you! They have a lot of great songs! Mystify, Disappear, can’t do INXS (In Excess) with out reacting to Never Tear Us Apart, Devil Inside! These guys were incredible musicians and Micheal Hutchence, what can I say there will never be another like him! Thanks so much for doing my IN_X_S request, made my night! This is by no means their biggest hit, but does show case their talents and Michael's presence on stage. This was an awards show, like the Grammys and was the premiere of this song. May explain the audience not reacting like a public crowd would. I chose this for the raw vocals and emotion Michael emits from every cell in his body and the funky beat! Michael was going through a lot of turmoil in his personal life, but used this to enhance this performance. A true professional. I will request some more of their biggest hits from Wembley stadium concert in 1991 where all 73k crowd are going off! Back in the 80's they were the premier live band and bigger than U2 for a while! Thanks again for reacting to IN-X-S and I'm so glad you seemed to like it. I was a bit nervous requesting a more obscure song of theirs!

Let it be known, I don't idol worship anyone, only truth and the Most High. Lastly, the audience is "dead" because truth is resonating in that room. Everyone knows about Wembley, but this is Michael's LAST best performance. INXS last album is BRILLIANT and terrible underrated. I'll never forgive my country for "abandoning" INXS and rating their final album only 3/5 stars, it's their BEST after Kick, Michael's voice got EVEN BETTER! INXS were my favourite band as a kid, adult, INXS are the greatest Australian band ever (and one of the WORLD'S BEST) and Michael was the GREATEST AUSSIE SINGER ever. I've met the band, painted Kirk and they're the best, most humble guys EVER. Yes, the audience sucks because it's Australia and Australians can get VERY jealous of: beautiful, talented, successful, world class people. It's called "The Tall Poppy" Syndrome. Michael was too cultured for Australia, he left years before he died. That's why I'm leaving here and moving to USA!!!! P.S.
