MIchael was like a magnet...you literally couldn't take your eyes off him when he was on stage...or on the screen... great band. I actually was lucky enough to see them in San Diego in the mid 80's and met them backstage. I was in beauty school then and offered to do their hair if they would take me with them. I’ve been a HUGE INXS fan since the 80’s, when I was just old enough to really start getting into bands, but w/o the type of parents willing to fly/drive me to Dallas or somewhere else relatively close, I missed out on seeing them w/Michael. I did see them in 2006 w/JD Fortune and it was still in my top 5 concerts ever! It wasn’t just Michael, these guys are real brothers/friends and have great chemistry together. They really come across as the type of guys I’d love to kick back and hang out with, aside from being great musicians.

Thank you so much for doing these videos and helping younger people discover the genius of INXS (and Michael Hutchence). What I’ve always found super unique and interesting about them is that the melody is completely carried by Michael’s vocal without any instrument sharing the load. We celebrated this concert 2 weeks ago it was the 30th anniversary of Live Baby Live a local tv station here in Australia put it on. I can tell you I had the sound bar turn up it’s just an bloody phenomenal concert & timeless, they re did it in 4K so the quality is spot on. They were the best live band on the planet back in 1991 and still are to us Aussies that grow up with them and around 74 or so thousand people were at that concert. INXS were know for their live performances but that’s nothing knew to us Aussie that grow up with all our amazing bands and singers of 60s, 70s,80s, and some of the 90,s they all sang live thanks to our pub rock etc. I feel very privileged to have seen so many bands and singers live, including INXS. The Wembley interview the band said that they took a pay cut to do the filming. Many TYs to them! It left them a lifetime legacy! I have it taped. Late one night cruising the TV choices the old Audience channel had this on. I missed the 80's raising babies, didn't have cable TV never watched MTV. Sometimes multiple days straight just to get to the next state. Australia is huge so these guys work hard and Play harder. And Aussie fans appreciate it. Every Aussie Band Started doing pub shows - and Every Aussie Music fan has a story of how they "saw (insert band) play at (Insert country pub) for $5 and we hit the pi$$ with 2 4 1 pints" Then they will go on about how they sat around with the band drinking.

Loved your reaction to one of our greatest Aussie bands. I had just finished watching the full Wembley '91 concert just an our ago which was aired on our free to air tv tonight. I was only 7years old when they played that concert but just watching it on tv tonight was amazing. INXS songs will never grow old here in Australia. I have a cd in my car that I just keep replaying all the time of INXS' Greatest Hits!! Michael Hutchence died when I was 13 years old and was one of the greatest sex symbols of Australia music. I was a little too young when they were at their peak and when tragedy struck. I still remember what I was doing that day when my Mum told my Dad that Michael Hutchence died, at the time I didn't really know who he was but had heard of his name but knew some popular songs from INXS. I can only imagine what great music INXS would have produced if it weren't for Michael's tragic death. There was a 2 part mini- series produced here in Australia about the life and times of INXS and their journey as a band. Think from memory it was called "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart". It has input from the band members about the storyline and all their awesome music. The roles were plated by some great Aussie actors, think I even shed a year or two watching it but it made me fall in love with INXS all over again. Love watching your reactions to our great Aussie singers and bands, especially Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham who are just some of the greats I grew up listening to!! xx
