Whoever designed the building and built it using the materials that they did was negligence of the highest order. So many breaches of safety regulations. Yes i know it was a different time and health and safety wasn't the same as it is today but even the most rudimentary safety measures weren't implemented. RIP to the poor people who perished.

I know what should be done with that appalling site!!....It should be totally removed, and landscaped into a place of remembrance....where relatives can go and reflect on the loss of their loved ones....I'm amazed that the Manx Government still haven't done anything at all!!...(probably just hoping that the memory of that disgraceful catalogue of "errors" will eventually be forgotten)....

There is a memorial for those who lost their lives, it names every one of them.
