Apple just released iOS 17.5 Beta 4 to registered developers and soon (within the next 24 hours) to Public Beta testers.

yea in public beta 3 the overheating is finally fixed and if overheating fixed the battry drain will automatically fixed but i am still testing

FYI: There's a new feature added in Beta 4 called Repair State. This will allow repair technicians to bypass Stolen Device Protection when you send in your phone. I will demonstrate this on Saturday in Apple Weekly 👍

Great update as always! The only issue that I keep seeing is with Siri Suggestions. I’ve turned them off, but still get notifications for Siri Suggestions on the Lock Screen.

Are they ever going to fix the standby mode bugs where you can't change the color of the clock faces? I haven't been able to change them since updating from the 17 Final release beta to the first update and its pretty annoying.

suddenly, in my shortcuts app on iphone, the menu list and open app on Apple TV shortcuts have completely disappeared. it was also giving an error while trying to add it back. this got fixed with beta 4. my previous actions didn't come back, but i can now add them again. the same issues happen with apple watch. shortcuts as complications keep disappearing!

I'm not on any beta; I'm on version 17.4.1. There's one bug that doesn't occur very often, but it happens, and that is the sleep mode on my iPhone. I use it every day because I sleep with my Apple Watch, and it dims it completely at a certain time and stops notifications, which is the whole purpose of using the sleep mode. However, sometimes the sleep mode will not start even though I have it scheduled to start at a certain time. Even if I restart my iPhone, it will not start the sleep mode automatically, even though it's time for it to be on. I have to activate it manually from the control center, which is not a good solution because the watch will stay in sleep mode until I manually take it off. Do any of you have the same problem?

Theres a bug with 17.4.1 on my phone with the Weather app always asking for the location no matter how many times i grant permission & on the apple watch as well. the calendar app is acting janky on the watch also asking for constant permission. Does anyone got a fix for the wallpaper shuffle album zooming in the pictures?

Brandon. I still have a bug where there are non-favorited songs in my favorite songs playlist. When I make them a favorite it says: “x - making favorite not possible”. Super annoying and makes this playlist useless to me. Apple does not check my reported bug at all ecer since ios 17 came out

Yeah my alarm volume wasn't, and still isn't working. My work-around is using the alarm in the Sleep App. The alarm volume works great there.

the search bug on the home screen is present in ios 17.4.1 as well so its a public and beta issue hopefully apple fixes it soon, i just checked my 15 pro max and the search bug is there

In the past beta I had an issue with texting and I submitted a ticket. My problem was when I sent a text it wouldn’t deliver, I would have to send it as a green bubble. I restarted my phone and it fixed it.

I have a 15 pro and "Home and Lock Screen" draining more battery than my old iPhones. I'm not using any widgets on the home screen or lock screen. Also use a solid black color as wallpaper and lock screen. iOS also has the latest version 14.4.1. 33 minutes on Screen and 12% consumed by "Home and Lock Screen". I checked few other 15 pros they consume only 3-4% for 30 minutes screen on time. Location service - OFF Bluetooth - OFF NFC - OFF Background App Refresh - OFF Is anyone else facing this same issue?

For the alarm clock, Attention Aware has affected the alarm for years (can't believe people are just realizing that), and I've personally had that setting turned off for years because I realized it affected the alarm clock way back when. This recent bug occurs whenever you set multiple alarms, basically if you let the initial alarm ring and then don't snooze it before the second alarm starts, that second alarm and any one past that will not make a sound whenever you finally hit the snooze button for the first one. It has happened for months now and it has taken me months to figure it out because I'm always half asleep when it happens lmao, I put in a ticket with Apple about a month or two about it though, good to hear they're working on it

I have two minor bugs. 1. My timer in control center is ALWAYS at 52 minutes before I even select a timer. Went through apple support and just simply force restarted, and it was fine only for the first few uses in timer. 2. In Shortcuts app > Automation tab, the icons of the automations are flashing. Scrolling is glitchy, and same for swiping to delete. Deleting and reinstalling Shortcuts didn’t work.

I purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max before a few days and have Apple Care+ on it. But the earpiece speaker crackles on certain sounds when is above 60-70% volume. I showed to a Authorised Service Center of Apple and they diagnosed it and said that the speaker is working normal and fine. But when compared to iPhone 14 Pro Max or iPhone 15 Pro my phone does have crackling sound when same video or audio is played.

You know Brandon one key feature I would like to see in iOS that’s been in android for decades. Simply add an App Drawer. Swipe up on your screen and you instantly see all your installed apps alphabetically listed. Your home screen would start out totally clean. You and you alone decide what apps are shown on it.. Just like android the very bottom row of the screen, you could customize to show your most often used apps. That’s one of the main advantages of android over iOS. A whole lot less clutter. You can drag any app from the app drawer and simply put it anywhere you like. You can have one screen for your Games, one for your business apps, one for your graphics apps and so forth. You could look at each screen being a folder with its own content. That would be a great idea for iOS 18.
