VISUAL INTELIGANCE 15 pro There’s a similar feature for iPhone 15 pro, 18.2 users. Open the Camera app and point it at the object you want to identify. Then, ask Siri, “What is this?” It will query ChatGPT and provide a description of the image. If you’re outside the Camera app, Siri will take a screenshot and use that for the identification. After the initial identification, you can ask follow-up questions to gain more information. However, you cannot assign this functionality to the Action button. The Action button can only be used to create a shortcut that opens Google Lens when pressed.

They are for me. You just have to start the request as spoken, not typed. I also have Siri set to prefer spoken responses

@@marksta1 update: I found out that 100% of the time, Siri reads it out loud as if it’s her own response when the phone detects I’m driving so Siri doesn’t want me reading the message obviously so it reads it out loud. But when I’m not driving, Siri says “here’s an answer from chat GPT” and ends it there. I found out either setting drive mode on, or letting my phone automatically detect driving, to work for some ChatGPT responses

in my experience, it doesnt read out GPT responses, and asking Siri to read out aloud doesnt work either. Good news is if you follow up a GPT response with another question, it will continue responding with GPT answers.

iOS 18 is the first update where I really feel they’ve drawn a line between their devices. 14PM isn’t even old but it’s like they’ve completely forgotten about it.

@@GoodKingMort that’s because the newer phones have the appropriate hardware to support the processing requirements of the new tech systems. This isn’t about making a distinction between devices. It’s the same as any new consumer tech. After two cycles later there can be drastic jumps in either software or hardware. Not every new feature will always be stable or capable for previous models.  has done well supporting older devices in the past and will continue to. How much and how often do Microsoft users have to pay for that software license? And naturally system stability is a big deal for all involved.

And if you look at the improvements to iOS 18, and 18.1 for the 14 PM there is still lots to love about the update. Nobody likes it when they can’t play with the same toys others can, but it’s a fact of life in smartphones and consumer electronics. Otherwise nobody would ever have a reason to upgrade.

At times the 15PM is better and at times S24U is better.. 2600nit peak brightness HDR with the 70% anti reflection is a game changer. For battery life seriously just think about the tonnes of apps running in the back for S24U and what u can do with it is endless lije customization and more so that explains the battery sacrifice so what i did was i disable some running program and the battery i would say is about the same and at times better.. AI integration is better,precise and with detailed answers from Chatgpt and it also has matured as it has been a year since Samsung release AI so for now it's superior and more reliable than what's in IOS. I carry both S24U(personal) 15PM(work) everyday and i can say that both are great phones but if u want something that can do more without even to wait or queue example like the playground then go for the Samsung, even better if u can wait 2 more months for the S25U is the best as it's gonna be a beast with major upgrades to camera,videos,Snapdragon elite chip 4x more powerful than the current S24U, GPU and such.

What I find hard to understand is why lower-end Android phones are getting at least some version of Google’s Gemini, yet iPhones below the 16 aren’t seeing anything similar. It feels like Apple might be subtly pushing the idea that without their latest AI features, older models are already outdated, which could subconsciously encourage people to upgrade. @@9to5Mac I have 2 iPads work and home and 2 iPhones work and home. All can run Apple Intelligence. I have 3 accounts logged into each all with Developer beta access enabled. I downloaded yesterday as soon as it came out right after lunch CST and I have requested on all 4 devices I see lots of KZbin articles about it being enabled so wondering if we are doing something wrong. Did you wipe a phone and do a reset. I am thinking of trying that one 1 phone and 1 iPad. So it has been 19 hours, and I have rebooted my devices multiple times and I have even turned Apple Intelligence off one 1 iPad and turned back on. So nothing yet and I had this as soon as it came out. Do you have any advice or insight on how some people are getting access and others are not.
