I’m disappointed that the hearing test and hearing aid features are not available in Australia. Apple’s website said the hearing protection was only US, but did not specify that none of the hearing features are available in many countries.

Same. 18.0.1 is horrible on my iphone 14pm, From 98-95% batt health within just 2 weeks. Now 18.1 fix it and my SOT is 8hrs while at 40% battery.

I had a brand new 14 pro max, days old out of its box, iOS 18.1 hit and dropped its battery health within one day, phone ran hot, I returned the phone to Apple. Don’t put iOS 18 on any 14’s.

Installed iOS 18.1 on my iPhone 16 plus, joined the waitlist, 10 mins later it was available for me, switched from Region USA to Mexico (where I live), kept English overall on the phone and Apple Intelligence works perfectly. I guess I'm lucky.

It takes up to a week for the background processing to complete, so that all of your mail and photos are indexed, and mail is summarized. Make sure you’re plugging your phone at night, with it connected to wifi and locked.

Image playground is included in the second version of Apple’s intelligence (IOS 18.2), along with the rest of the features announced. For now, you’re limited to writing tools and some new enchantments.

Not weird at all. Especially when it comes to Siri - which is completely on-device processing to analyze the user's request and figure out what to do with it. The pieces that are missing (and why this is hard for people to get) is that we've only scratched the surface. Once developers have implemented the Assistant App Intents and AI has learned your personal context, even with the smaller models that run on the device, there will be a lot more inference being done on the device -- multiple passes through the models to analyze the user's request, discover which apps might expose functionality that can help, make a plan and then execute it.

Yes definitely iOS18 approved (new control center, Home Screen customization, etc) but you won’t get Apple Intelligence. That’s iPhone 15 Pro and newer I believe.

going from the iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 16 plus I thought I would miss 120hz but realized quickly that I can live without out. the way apple implements their software, 60hz feels really smooth already. It's still a warm welcome to have 120hz come to the base iPhones next year. don't care for any of the extra photography features that come with the pros which is why id rather stay with the base models and save some money. always the plus though since I like longer battery life
