Hey, great tutorial, thanks a lot. One thing though. I don't know why this works for you, but I had the issue of the displacement node not working with procedural noise. Apparently it requires an image. Using noise as the texture simply won't do anything. If anyone else is having this issue, before adding a noise to the displacement, add a "baking texture" (plugins > c4doctane > Baking Texture) first and put the noise in there.

thanks a lot, been trying to make it work too. would it be fine for me to animate the noise and use the baking tag too? or is there a simpler method

@@kayzmr I haven't tried that. If you try it, tell me if it worked.

Go in to the Node Editor of the octane material, and add a 'baking texture' between the noise and the displacement

Great Tut Sir! I have trouble with my cube after applied displacement in texture. The surfaces of the cube fall apart and create gaps between edges and I can't find the cause. Thank you for the great tutorial anyway!

Hey, in the displacement tab, try playing around with the "Mid Level" slider

How much of this can be applied to cinema 4d without octane?
