Learning positioning and having game sense will take you far in a lot of games. I've been out played by players much worse than me(mechanically) because they quickly figured out that I play aggressively and if they wait around corners ADS and ready then they'll win more often than not. If you analyze your every death on the spot it'll help immensely.

A small error with Zenyatta, the Discord doesn't scale with the enemy HP it scales with the Damage that is applied. That's because it's a 30% increase in damage received by the target and not a 30% HP reduction of the target.

I was referring to effective Hp. Lets say you need 6 seconds to kill a winston . With discord you only need 4 and save 2 seconds. But if it takes you 2 seconds to kill someone, it takes you 1.4 seconds to kill them with discord, so you only save 0.6 seconds. The more HP the target has, the more kill time you save.

yeah, interesting way to conceive how the discord affects the game play. I always thought of it the way overwatch/overwatch wiki expains it: increase in damage taken relative to the damage applied. However, it is definitely more valuable to analyze this as how quickly a team can eliminate a hero; a non-tank can be killed quite quickly by almost all heroes, thus is not TOO valuable to the team with the zen to have a orb on them, while tanks often survive, relatively, leading to feeding enemy support ults. I wish the video was indeed clear about this because I'm sure 99% of the people who watched the video did not understand this amazing understanding/mechanic about the discord.

Try getting a smurf account, that way you can have an account that you play on just for fun. It really helps with reducing anxiety of a bad outcome in comp matches.

Be positive and ask for advice. If the toxic player doesn't know what to do I find they usually just get quiet. Anytime I've been flamed I've asked for advice earnestly and expressed interest in the flamers advice. That puts pressure on them to help and they know they can't. And if you're trying to listen and failing the worst thing that will happen is they will flame at you, which they were doing anyway.

good tip for zarya is to bubble the roadhog if he hooks enemy roadhog, most roadhogs know they shouldnt but sometimes when you peak and throw hook randomly ( a lot of roadhogs do this) you will accidentaly catch road and as we all know he who hooks first dies, except for if you have zarya bubble. i have a friend i play with who knows this and plays zarya so he often shields me if i accidentaly hook roadhogs.

My tip to all bronze to gold players. I climbed in one season from low gold to high platinum. Play a LOT it makes you subconsciously fix mistakes sometimes, and if you dont find them record yourself :) Watch the best at what your character is, if you enjoy Winston watch iddqd. And so forth.

Im sorry, I see it the other way with Zarya. Your personal barrier is to build Energy and youre E is to protect teammates. Roadhog hooks etc. Using youre E for Energy mainly is not wrong but a very selfish style of zarya play.

You actually forgot a really important part of ana. You did not mention to use the nade offensively. If you can antiheal a tank or a whole team as ana, you just need to yell gogoogogoggogoogogogogog they're debuffed. Your team will do the rest. It is insane how strong a good nade is. A good nade is almost always a guaranteed teamfight win. Always look out for zen ults or reaper ult , zarya ult,... if you can nade the enemies in zen's ult. His ult becomes useless. If you nade reapers ult, he doesn't lifesteal an insane amount so he is easy to kill while he is ulting. If you can get your nade in zarya ult. No zen, mercy, lucio, ana or moira can save them. The anti nade is why ana is such a good pick in competitive overwatch. Be aware of shields, dva or zarya though as they really counter your heals/ offensive nades/ sleep darts.
