We also are missing our top 5 or 6 linebackers. We are starting a walk-on Redshirt Fr MLB. That said he played fairly well last week in his first real snaps.

You might want to know more about Iowa State before previewing them. Abu Sama isn't RB1 right now. Jackson is RB1 AND Hanson and Sama are also going to take snaps. That combo of RBs put up way over 200 yds of rushing last week at over 6yds/rush.

They happen to be one of the most balanced run/pass teams in the country. 1200 yds passing 900 yds rushing this season so far

WVU has 2 Great Qbs - you knock out green . You get the Arizona football player of the year Nicco Marcio 4 star whos 4-0 in games hes started . Will be the starter with out a doubt Saturday ... he came in for green 3rd play through a perfect spiral TD Pass . WVU is battle tested - penn state - pitt - at ok state . WVU will not be a push over ..😊

WV secondary looked good against OSU because of Bowman - that's it. They guys apparently haven't seen Jaylon "Action" Jackson either. ISU was down 2 O-lineman the first half of the season, one back now. Also had injuries to 9 of their 11 starting defense players and still not all healthy yet their 5-0 due to one of the best D coordinators in the country.

So about the West Vaaaah. West Virginians hate the W Va abbreviation. Virginia is VA. West Virginia is WV, and our university is WVU. So I don’t mean to sound condescending, but if you are looking for a way to shorten it or have a different abbreviation I offer “Dub V” or “The Dub V” (not in a Ohio St THEEE either). Sorry, we just like to have as much separation from Virginia as possible. Also great analysis.

It was October 13, 2018 and WVU was 5-0 and ranked #6 in the nation. WVU visited Ames, IA to play the underdog ISU Cyclones for a Saturday night game. With freshman QB Brock Purdy, ISU handed WVU its first loss 30-14. Can WVU return the favor in Morgantown this Saturday night at 8 pm on Fox TV?

My exact comment: This game with Iowa St is a flip of the script from 2018. In 2018 we went to Ames, highly ranked, and for a primetime game at night . . And laid an egg. Sooo, this year Iowa St. comes to Morgantown, highly ranked for a primetime game at night! Anddd it's their turn to lay an egg and for us to knock off a good ranked opponent for once. This is gonna be huge!

The 85 grades in pass and run blocking are interesting. I read an article today talking about just how balanced WVU is joining OSU, Penn State and 2 other P4 teams that have 245+ rushing and passing per game.

The ISU line is getting some push. 200+ yards rushing the last 3 games…but most of the negatives on rush D is that ISU gives up 1-3 big gainers on the ground, BUT 85-90% of opponents runs go nowhere. Example, Iowas Caleb Johnson had 187 yards on 25 carries. 155 was on 4 runs….
