How can an Iowa State team that has gotten minimal respect and were predicted to be 5th or lower in the B12 be over hyped? Iowa State is amongst the most under hyped teams of the year.

As an Iowa fan I have listened to this guy before, before Iowa vs Iowa St. games. He is the proverbial "homer" with homer glasses and is insufferable to listen to, but. ....... he's pretty spot on with some of the players. That little RB is damn good, quick and hard for defenders to key on due to his small structure. That WR (Noel) is a legit player as well. This is a different team coming from and Iowa Hawk fan. They have solid skill positions and a solid QB along with a salty D. Should be a good one Saturday!

Cyclone fan here, my take is that Iowa State is pretty clearly the more talented team. On a neutral field I’d take us to win in a heartbeat probably by 10+ but that environment scares me particularly at night. If we have a slow start we could be in trouble we shall see.

I thought 5-0 #6WVU was the more talented team on a Saturday night at Ames in October, 2018. However, freshman QB Brock Purdy proved me wrong with that 30-14 upset.

Brock just clicked with everything in his first start and that crowd was ballistic all night. Really hoping we don’t see something like the inverse tomorrow night.

Oh on a side note. At night "Black Outs" completely suck. It does nothing for atmosphere. Iowa has done them in the past and it absolutely blows. I hate them especially at night. Anything white or yellow really cooks at night, especially if towels are given out. Black out at nights just make the stadium look dead, IMO. It's just a weird atmosphere. Now a black out with yellow towels waving would be kind of cook and intimidating.

Kansas had you dead to rights before the delay and they aren't good at all. Oklahoma state has stopped noone all year. Just saying, I think it'll be a good game but I could also see isu controlling the game fairly easily. If wvu can't run the ball the game will get ugly, that defense isn't stopping isu, at least not for long.

To all you WVU fans that have put us down and thought we should win 11 games every year and that we are national title contenders? Well there is room on the Ohio state band wagon . We don’t want yall back after we beat these next 2 ranked teams at night and are sitting in first place in the drivers seat when we go to Arizona , who is probably the last team we will be underdogs against the rest of the season . Especially if Texas Texas tech can get a couple of injuries to help our chances at the end of the year . Neal brown is 2 signerature wins and winning 3 games we will be favorites in from going 8-4 again and making another decent bowl and maybe winning back to back 9 win seasons for the first time since bill Stewart did it in 09/10 when he didn’t beat anybody with a winning record except Pitt . So We are in uncharted waters and Mr brown will get an extension and a raise and it will put a lot of fake fans off these boards .

We have the best O-line in the Big 12 by a large margin PFF currently has 3 of them graded at 88 or above and our left tackle hasn't given up a sack in 3 years. You might wann look into this a bit further.

I'm still not sold on us yet & I'm not sold on them yet either. Losing the "ways" we did against Penn & Pitt shoes either were still what we've been or that we just got a slow start out of the gates. The OSU win was nice but they're looking really bad so can't take much from it. Although I'm not sold on them them being an actual top ranked team like they are due to how they've looked & who they've played, I still think Iowa st is a good team.
