In this video I show how to repair an iPad Air 1st generation. This screen and the LCD display are not glued together. This allows the repair more cost effective for the do it yourself at home person. These screens cost under $20. All you need is a heat gun ad a few other tools such as screwdriver and a couple other items shown in this video.

Well, for the $12 investment it was worth the experience. However, during this process the LCD screen got messed up somehow and has the discoloration/lines in the upper corner now after I put it all back together and turned it on.

Hi Richie did this and it worked well thanks, really enjoy your videos. Doing mine some magnets where dislodged and a tiny pin?? Are these magnets crucial and do they have to be in a certain polarity? What about the pin? Seriously considering your course just practicing on some old stuff first using your KZbin videos. The magnets I dont know what they do but they are attached to the new screen already. So I install the screen like that with them on.

The home button is actually under something else other than tape. and I broke it. smh
