Someone brought up a really good point that I forgot to mention. Storage is definitely important, especially when you take digital notes. I opted for the cheapest option since storage wasn't much of a concern for me. I have unlimited google drive and one drive storage with my university so my goodnotes/digital notes and files automatically backs up to my university accounts. I also have an extra 64 GB USB-C drive (that can directly attach to the iPad) I have not used yet just in case.

So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.

are you satisfied with it? during christmas day last 6 months i had decided to buy ipad air 4 with the same color like yours but with 256gb of storage to replace my 5 year old ipad pro 9.7", sadly my store only sold with rose gold color, as all other colors were run out of stock 😕, so i chose ipad pro 2020 instead. even though ipad air 4 is less expensive to save my monry but i have no choice 😅. good luck with your new ipad 😊

hi! Thank you so much for your question! I think for those types of films, the purpose isn't for protection. It does prevent scratches, but I don't think it does as well as to protect the screen from cracking as a thicker glass screen protector would, but I haven't found any paperlike glass protectors yet, so as of now, its just a film :')

Really having a hard time deciding between an iPad Air (4) 64gb with the magic keyboard and pencil or the new Pro 11” and wait/save for the extras. Wait for it to ship and wait for the pencil and keyboard as I save for a few months to get those accessories. Or get the 64 air. My budget is tight, but I’ll get the education discount. The difference between the 256 air and 128 pro is like $50. But the 64 air would give me room for those necessary accessories and no waiting. I sold my MacBook Air laptop to make this happen. I have a desktop iMac I rarely use. Main use for iPad will be writing papers, web browsing, email, bit of zoom, media consumption and streaming, reading, editing photos, note taking and light drawing. It will be my first iPad in many years and I’m really excited. What would you do? Is 64 sufficient space?

oh wow, well i guess since your main concern is storage, if you're able to do most of the things you mentioned online/through a cloud storage, then i think it might be okay. I use my ipad for similar purposes and the only things i've found myself needed the storage for are drawing and editing photos/videos. Everything else, including note taking i have unlimited cloud storage for from my uni. I also have a 2TB external HD and a 64gb sandisk USB-C external drive that can connect directly to the ipad. But I would take my advice with a grain of salt as I'm not very tech-versed.

I used to use microsoft to do, but now i don't really have any use for apps specifically for to do lists, since i have a digital planner and block out things i need to do on my template in goodnotes. I do use OneNote for my economics notes, and I really like the format, especially how textboxes can kind of go anywhere so I can make a concise study guide! I type using my computer and view using my ipad

Honestly, think of buying a color that you like and will be happy with for a long time into the future as well. As for case, honestly whatever your favorite colors, patterns, etc are. The only thing i'd suggest is shy away from white/very very pale colored cases since they'll stain/get dirty the easiest

hi! I actually have not used it much, maybe only once. I would suggest an external mouse and keyboard is very very beneficial to actually use word on the ipad just like on a computer! it's a whole lot easier to move the cursor around and type that way

my ipad does get hot, but not be playing games, just by continuous use after like 5 hours. I haven't used it to play any games, and I don't plan to, so I recommend looking for another vide that talks specifically about its gaming capabilities

that's a good question i put in my pinned comment some information about how I use storage. I think that because you're also taking lots of 4k videos, editing, drawing, taking notes, 64 gb might be barely there, and you probably eventually need more storage. If money isn't an issue, definitely 256 is better. But if you also prioritize the smart keyboard over in-device storage, then I'd suggest looking into if your school offers any kind of google drive, box, dropbox, or one drive storage (usually they might be able to give unlimited storage), and also buying a usb-c external drive to store your files on. For notes your videos and photos will have to be on your device while you're editing them, and procreate is harder to store externally when you're not finished with the drawing, so those will take up your actual iPad storage, whereas notes, pdfs, school stuff is easier to store on a cloud storage system.

I think 64 gb is enough unless you are taking many photos and videos and editing. For just notetaking and stuff like that 64 is enough.
