This is my favorite topic because I don't have an iPad and have been shopping around for over a year 🤷🏼‍♂ I have my eye on the Air due to the color options and the M1 chip. The mini is very nice but I just don't think the screen is large enough for my tastes. Keep up the great work and enjoy your iPad 👏🏽

Comprehensive summary, Ellen. Your care in explaining the specifications of each model, versus the suggestions to carefully consider of cost-benefits for seniors is terrific. I have progressive visual impairment, and find the excellent Retina display on my 12.9 iPad Pro serves me well. I will admit, I am looking forward to the speculations about the larger iPad (14”? 16”?) possible release in late2023 or 2024.

Hi ellen I’ve used the Ipad pro since they first came out ‘ as I’m over 66 I think that a channel for seniors to converse together is the way to go ! any advise on that please ! I’m picking up the macbook air 15.3 next week once again it would be great to talk to seniors from around the globe Pete 👋🏼. 🇬🇧

I purchased the iPad Pro 12.9 inch a few months ago. Unfortunately I just find it too large and too heavy for extended use. I plan to give it to my daughter who is a musician, as it will be a great tool for her in teaching and performance. Eventually I will probably get a refurbished iPad mini for my own use. Thank you for a good overview! 😊

For some people the 12.9 is too large you might want to think about the iPad. The Mini is great but you may find it’s too small. Just a thought. Thanks for your comment Deadie!
