One of my favourite shortcuts on Safari for iPadOS is Cmd + Y for History. Using the same keyboard, by the way - love it!

For copy and paste, first double tab a word, then use control shift arrow to select more word. At last, use command c command v to copy and paste. It is workable but I think it could be better. I don’t know why I can’t just select the whole sentence using my touch pad

after researching i found out that the 'fn' on normal keyboard is NOT the 'fn' button used in iPad. The 'fn' used in iPad called 'Global key' and it is only on Apple's keyboard.

Great video! Have you found a way to forward delete text on an iPad keyboard. On a Mac, its accomplished with the Fn key and the delete key.

Here’s one for you. Using a mouse the one thing I could not do on the iPad is close the apps as with a finger swiping the apps upward off the screen. Is there a keyboard shortcut to close apps? Sorry if I missed it on the video.

It works, although less conveniently, if you hold down Ctrl until the “shortcut list” appears and then follow up with the rest of the keys. No idea why it won’t work from the get-go, though.

Globe and fn are different keys on Mac. You can search for modifier keys in settings on your iPad, and it’ll tell you what key does what for your keyboard. Kinda confusing.. but hope you got it. ✌️

I'm on IpadOS 16 publica beta and found out I could use Full Keyboard Access to help me to quickly run some tasks, but there a weird behavior, such that for any key combination I'm using, I need to press it twice to make it work. For instance, I chose Command+Alt+L to add a reminder (using a Shortcut automation). I need to press L twice for it to work. Other things also start working weirdly, like Command +Shift+Tab (it only goes forward, not backwards). Does anyone found these same issues?

Everything gets saved automatically on iPads. You use the share menu to save a file.

WHY doesn’t Apple iOS give us more basic soft keyboard options? Am I missing something? It boggles my mind that I can not more easily UNDO with the floating keyboard. Why am I forced to dock the keyboard or navigate the accessibility dot to undo something (and don’t even try to suggest SHAKE to undo…that’s the first thing to get shut off on a new device with its uselessness)? Why doesn’t the full keyboard still not have arrow keys? I am multi platform…PC, Mac, iOS, and even Android…but suffice it to say and am stuck with Apple iOS of a large number of devices. I have and use several external keyboards with iPad and iPhones. Logitech K780, with the three device quick switch, is one of my favorite keyboards for the PC desktop computer that allows me to switch over to my iPhone if I need to reply to a log text message. I also finally found a really good solution for the iPad keyboard that I have put up on a video on my YT channel that has a kickstand that holds my iPad in position. Check it out if you haven’t seen it already. Thanks for doing this video, but it brings up the basic question of why after all these years and “improvements” is the soft keyboard (full or floating) not more capable? Why am I forced to use an inept keyboard that takes up an obtuse amount of space, or go to floating with no “extras”? 10 years ago, one of the reasons I justified going to Android was for the arrow “keys” on soft keyboards. I returned to iOS after a couple of years, but still miss such a simple but significant omission from a keyboard. I have asked Apple in the past for this. I am sure others have as well. Why does Apple ignore such a simple need?

also control f to use search function is the fastest way to get the cursor to go to where u want it on a web page. with out a mouse. space bar and shift space bar to toggle between searched words phrases on page. then exit button to get out of search and cursor is where u want it without a mouse. i did this while copy paste text from legal codes onto google document much faster than using a mouse.
