I have the other soke case with built in pencil holder. It just folds open with grooves to keep mini in landscape. Pretty nice and cheap.

it crazy the very first case i wanted was with a pencil holder but man the ipad mini feels so good to hold without a case that now i’m looking for a slim cover case so i can hold it with one hand. its hard to find one that doesn’t interfere with using touch id tho

Is there anywhere where you can buy the flap separately or something and just put it on the iPad apple folio

I don't think so, I haven't seen anything like that available while I was running my search for accessories!

Good review. What about the edges of Bokeer compared to Apple . Which one is softer? ( I purchased one for my ipad pro 11 inch similar to apple folio but found the edges sharp even though it had good magnets and all , but not comfortable to hold . So want to know your experience in this case)

I have an iPad 11 inch too

They're a little bit sharp, but even with just 2-3 days of use it's already feeling much softer. I think that over the course of a few weeks it will get better. However, it definitely isn't as smooth as Apple out the box.

I have been looking at a few cases by Soke and Bokeer. But I am waiting for STM to release a Dux case for the iPad Mini 6. For now, I went with the ProCase keyboard case. I don’t need the keyboard all the time and do leave the keyboard at home a lot. But it is a nice option to have if I think I might need it for productivity tasks on the go. But I may still pick up one of the Soke or Bokeer cases as a back up.
@NickSAM3 жыл бұрын
Can you tell me. What is the weight of these cases?
@Auto-Technica3 жыл бұрын
The Soke is 5 ounces, the Bokeer is 6.4 ounces, and the Apple Smart Folio is 3.52 ounces. In hand though they all felt really similar and I couldn't really tell the difference apart!
@Youtubeitisin3 жыл бұрын
One advantage of Bokeer, i think, is that it will allow the 1st gen Apple Pencil to be used too. If you have the gen 1 pencil can you please try to see if can be securely attached using the bokeer case? Thanks.
@Auto-Technica3 жыл бұрын
Just to give you a heads up the Gen 1 Apple Pencil will not work with the iPad mini 6. So while you can theoretically use the look to semi-secure the 1st gen Pencil it won't do you much good since you won't be able to use it.
@Youtubeitisin3 жыл бұрын
@@Auto-Technica Yes, you are right. I didn't realize that to connect to bluetooth, we need to physically connect the pencil for the first time. Although I have found ways to do that using Apps like "Blue light" on app store but it is not very straightforward. Interestingly i found a third party solution from the very reputed Zagg company for almost half the price of pencil 2. My dilemma is cellular or wifi only now :-). Cellular does make it a bit more flexible but it reduces the battery significantly (unless there is option to turn cellular off and that stops the radio from consuming battery) and it is $150 more :(.
@Auto-Technica3 жыл бұрын
@@KZbinitisin That's awesome that you found an alternative! The workarounds are usually too constricted and ruin the experience anyways! As for cellular, you can absolutely turn off cellular and use it like a Wifi only iPad. If you do plan on being on the go and need a stable connection, the cellular could be worth the upgrade. I personally always stick to the Wifi only models and hotspot for my phone when I have to go out!

Does the magnetic cover snap to the back when held in handheld? Or does it dangle and flap in open air ?
@khmerembasy3 жыл бұрын
this is an important question. if its an open flap case then its an automatic no from me. i know the apple folio snaps behind the back nicely with the magnets but no mention here on if the alternatives do the same.
@Auto-Technica3 жыл бұрын
The Apple and Bokeer both attach to the back magnetically. The Soke does attach to the back and will dangle.

There are many cases on Amazon that are better values than the Apple case. It has been this way for years. I never ever buy an Apple case. I don’t like trifold cases as they are too inflexible in terms of stand positions (my opinion).
@Auto-Technica3 жыл бұрын
Yup, I totally agree with you. I don't like the trifold cases that much either mainly because of the lack of angles, however I couldn't find any good options initially! I did find one now though and will be making a video on it soon!
@hectorbb42252 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I really wanted the apple folio case but I couldn't find the Dark Cherry anywhere in my country and was having a hard time choosing one from amazon. Booker looks solid as hell and It's super cheap! Awesome. I already got myself 2 diferent colors and I'm very excited get them on the mail.

Lie back on a sofa and balance the mini case in one of those small triangle cases on your midriff and see how well it balances. 'Unstable equilibrium' is the term for what we see here. Crazy, imo. But thanks.

Love Apple but their cases no way. Bought a brilliant case for my new mini on eBay, half the cost.

@photofan64b3 жыл бұрын
Not only is Apple's case expensive, but it has no way to keep the pencil attached in your pocket or knapsack; useless.
