you are absolutely right about the 12.9, it does get heavy quickly!

Used 9.7 for a year and a half. I agree with your initial comments here. Of course Apple came with a 20% bigger screen a few months back with no real hardware size change. Tempting. Also the second generation 12.9 now has true tone and I really like the screen real estate so I am not constantly having to zoom in. On the other hand, the 2nd generation is still encumbered by it's size as you point out.. The only comfortable view is on a stand and exactly like you I also have a 27" PC which does a really good job all but screen resolution not so great.

I am getting the ipad Pro 12.9 but now you have me worried LOL I am also getting the Apple Pencil, and after watching that video, I am doubly concerned! I really hope it's as useful as I was told it would be during my tech assessment.

Hey there! Since making this video, I have actually gone up to the 12.9 inch vision. I still think the smaller one is a great option for people, but I couldn't help myself. I love a big screen! I think you'll really enjoy it!

Thanks for the review. We have a partially sighted 11 year old and are in the process of applying for an ipad for her through one of the visually impaired charities. Any advice for us? thanks

Good video. I was thinking of going over to Apple as I'm told they have much better assessability features.

I'm planing on getting a ipad as I ended up switching to a iphone and the experience with acessabkty has been much better and recently I'm havjng trouble using my tablet. But I don't know if to go for the iPad pro or the new 2018 huget ipad?

I think getting an iPad is a great idea! As far as which one to get, it really comes down to preference. The newer 10.5 inch model seems to be really nice. Bigger screen without being too bulky. The Pro model has better speakers and the smart connector, but if those aren't deal breakers, I think the non-pro model would work well. Best of luck with your new purchase!
