Great vid, I did everything up until the soldering part, attempted the soldering and thought I could just solder it off without adding solder to help it release, ended up tearing the charge port off and the pins were still connected and wouldn't come off, eventually got them all detatched, now ill need to buy a new logic board.

Ouch, sorry to hear that! How many pads were torn off? Not all of them are required but for the ones that are, micro-jumpers can help although it's not an easy task.

My old lady dropped my iPad Pro and I can fix it but parts horrendously, insanely expensive. And it's no longer a rumor iPad now accepts and support Windows.. My iPad is now used as a prop to support our House Window to keep it open and let the air in during Summer Months. Thanks Apple!

you didn't have no where near enough solder on the pads after replacing the port flex, the pads need to be fluffed up like pillows or you risk getting a weak connection.

Hi @ReForceofficial and thanks for taking the time to comment. Do feel free to elaborate if I am misinterpreting what you said. There is a common misconception that adding solder on top of the flex cable help to create a bond is useful. It is not as the two surfaces where the actual joint is located are actually underneath it. There is virtually no space between the surface of the motherboard and the charge port flex cable, so you don't need to use a whole lot of solder. Take a look at the factory joints and you'll see what I mean. Also, this is not like say an HDMI port that is prone to wear and tear. Once you install the logic board, there should never be any stress on that area.
