If you’re aren’t great with technology and are use to apple products, just get an ipad. For users who are more tech savy, I think a Samsung can unlock more potential especially with the easy to install SD card for more storage. I love that Samsung tablets feel more like a mini computer to me I will always be team iPhone but man I love my Samsung tablet

Galaxy Tab has a much better screen (OLED) and drawing experience (S-pen has lower latency and more precise tip). I'm professional graphic designer using ClipStudio Pro on Tab S8+.

As a lifelong Apple/iPhone user I bought a Galaxy Tab S7+when it came out, and it’s been a amazing tablet. I would recommend them, but I will be switching to iPad just because I’m so invested in apples ecosystem and I have noticed I’m missing out on a lot of device to device functionality

I have M2 ipad pro 12.9, I bought it for college and I use to watch videos and games. Tbh, my friend lended me their S8+ and samsung is much better. Their s pen and samsung notes is really great, only downside is that applications in app store that I use for note taking (goodnotes and notatbility) are better on ios. So software wise and compatability i think IOS better, but hardware samsungs wins

Tbh.. i only reason ive beeen wanting the iphone and ipad from apple specifically was because it was popular, trendy, the camera and it just has a feeling that makes it better it just feels so futuristic ad i have a galaxy tab A8 and a samsung phone but in the back of my mind i know samung is better with customizesation and less restrictions and most of the phones and tablets do not look so similar it just feels like iphone changes the name of the iphone and then its a new phone and for all i know the iphone 18 could literally be 2000 dollars if just the iphone 15 is 1,500

Honestly I wouldve gotten the Samsung galaxy tab but the iPad is just a whole other level and has wayyy more features than the Samsung galaxy tab, the newest iPads have thousands of more features than the android tablets, Apple products are just the best.

The one thing that’s making me not want the Samsung tablet is every android device I’ve had, has become slower and glitchy. While my 7th gen ipad has been running as good as new to this day. I only want a new one to gift to a family member this Christmas.

I know nothing about tech. Thanks for the unbiased review. Question; i like my iPad and iPhone because they sync photos automatically. Other than that i hate the way Apple the company operates. Gouging just to gouge and using different upc outlets is a perfect example. They can’t do that crap in Europe but here in the US our govt. doesn’t give a crap about the people here. what would be the easiest tablet and phone for a non tech savvy person that wants to sync photos. My IPad and phone are easy for me but some of their shortcomings are huge.

I’ve had iPads for years. They are smooth powerful. But Apple’s Safari internet browser is locked down. I recently read that other browsers that Apple lets on there eco system had to use the base program. I work for an automotive dealership. Our technical resource website will not open on an IOS device. Many of the documents in the website will not open. I have no issues using Android. So my next tablet will be an Android.

Not to mention if your buying a android tablet for a kid, the parents should add a restriction to make it so their younglings can’t download third party apps. Security isent really a problem. The problem is just how restricted apple freedom is, if I’m a older and more mature user who knows what I’m getting into with the third party apps then I should get the freedom. But if i want this for a kid let’s say, they should allow a option to disable any means to the kids accessing the advanced stuff.

Everything tells me that the Samsung is better, but as someone that wants a tablet jus to read graphic novels and manga, I feel it's form factor is just that little bit too long. The iPad just has more of a natural "book" feel when held in portrait mode

That's actually more of a dealbreaker for me. Since Apple does not support third-party apps, I plan to choose the Galaxy tablet over the iPad due to how most manga e-readers are exclusive to Android.

I have i pad air 5. I thought it would be cool to have m1 chip in tablet but I dont even use it professionally so its a big waste and I am thinking about reselling it and buy a samsung tablet. iPad is better if youre buying it for professional work and productivity, and want a more powerful device. Both are probably about as good as a media consumption device (for youtube, social media, web browsing). The Samsung is going to be better when it comes to sideloading APKs, using emulators etc. When iPad gets sideloading, there wont be many reasons to get the Samsung, unfortunately other than to fit into an Android / Samsung ecosystem. The ipad pro also costs less than the Samsung S9 Ultra, and on Geekbench shows about twice the performance of the S9 Ultra, which is an absolutely MASSIVE difference in performance, not even comparable. Samsung has been competing well with iphone for years, but has been doing poorly against the iPad. I would not recomend buying the Samsung unless you want a device that is half as powerful for more money.
