Just an FYI. Apple pulled the update for the M4 iPad Pro due to it bricking some iPads. I show it on the M4 iPad Pro in this video and thankfully didn’t have the issue but just wanted to make you aware.

It's good because M1 models are still good but you can get them cheaper or even if you are lucky as crazy good deal, got an used M1 2021 iPad Pro 12.9" Wifi+Cellular 256GB in nearly perfect condition for 675€ a week ago.

I have a "big" negative point to make about the app photo on the iPad. On the iPhone you can copy text from a picture, but you can't do it on the iPad. WHY NOT? I have to use my iPhone to do that,how weird. A missing productivity tool.

I noticed this too but it’s just different… on iPad you have to double tap the text on a photo to select it but on iPhone you just hold down on the text…. Idk hope that helps!

I tried to update my M4 iPad before it was pulled, not knowing there was an issue. Thankfully it would not verify update, I was lucky it didn't brick my device. Will just wait till it's sorted out before attempting again.

I'm happy to note that the iPad still has the left sidebar in photos if you would like to keep using that! It may be hidden at first so you may need to reveal it with the top-left button but it is there!

Hey man, I’ve got a question I hope you can help out with. So for the first time, when im taking notes or drawing with my Apple Pencil on the notes app, I’m getting blue dotted underlines and red underlines under words. I really don’t like that! It feels like I’m being watching and judged when all I want is to scribble things down. Any idea how to turn that off? I have spell check and auto correct off in keyboard settings but I’m still getting the unwanted “help.” Hope you find the time to answer! Thanks again for the vids

You can switch to getting the beta versions of the new OSes in the settings if you want, you will still get a notification for the stable version once it’s rolled out to you :)

Probably one of the worst operating systems I've ever used; it makes my iPad 8th Generation feel like an iPad 3 on iOS 9. It is slowing down my iPad, eating up the battery, the notes app is buggy as hell, and my Apple Pencil frequently disconnects. I can't go back because I made the mistake of not doing a backup before updating so I may have to factory reset it with an IPSW of iPadOS 17.

I hope Apple releases a new version as I am having a ton of bugs from double screens, overlapping screens, and screens going in opposite directions. Then there is a white bar going across the entire iPad that won’t go away unless I turn off my iPad completely and turn it back on this happens numerous times in a 15 minute period to the point I’m about to not even use my iPad. Most of these bugs I have are in the pictures and albums. Then despite backing up my iPad before doing the update, it has made numerous adjustments all on its own from turning off things that I had turned on and turning on things that I had turned off. It has even messed up my calendar. These bugs are pretty significant that I can’t believe no one else seems to have them but me.😂

They made the AC button change to delete/backspace as you type and its so annoying if you want to just clear all. You will need to equal = you equation for AC to appear again. The iphone app was also changed to this, no more swiping on the number to delete last typed number. There should be an AC button all the time plus the delete/backspace or just bring back the swipe to delete.

I bought the iPad Air M2 11” WiFi. Idk why but the iPad overheats too much below the Apple Pencil dock while charging with its official adapter and so does the adapter. The same issue occurs while using the Apple Pencil in notes or calculator. Are you on the same track mate?
