@@dmann5938 iOS 18 really had a lot of updates that macOS needed also. Image Playground, Genmoji, iPhone Mirroring, and window snapping are all great, but I wish that Apple would live by their “consistency” method and give us things from iOS, like Dynamic/Tinted icons for example.

The fact that they removed the Retouch tool within Photos is infuriating. 'Clean Up' is not even close to a replacement for this feature. Retouch was an amazing feature and for them to take away something like that is ridiculous and makes no sense.

Hmm.. I.. I agree, I hear ya’ll… I really do… I’m running 15.2 Official Build and it’s VERY SMOOTH. I wish I could say the same about iOS….. I do think there is space for image playground but I’ll be most excited for the “realistic” version when Apple gets better and more confident with A.I Image Playground (hopefully)

@ I have a 15 PM and with the exception of iOS 18.0, all were and are running fine and smooth (even the latest 18.2 that I just installed). Nevertheless I miss many of the windows and Android features, I’ll return to windows/Android next time I need to upgrade. Apple tries to close people down into the ecosystem but that ecosystem is just too limited. When I had Samsung (Android), the ecosystem (tablet, phone, earphones) worked seemingly every time and it was fine connecting to windows (phone link). So I never felt I was limited. I was pressured to change to Apple due to video editing and even for simple stuff I’m limited, specially with iOS which has very dumb and infantile features but not the work useful things. If I want an alarm from an appointment to sound X minutes (personalized) sooner, I can’t. It had to be something from the presets… The gallery or photos app has no physical folders, only tags!!! If I have 2000 photos and I want to move some important to a folder, it just adds a tag!!! W.t…. If I have some files on a folder it’s bound to the app and not a common space as on EVERY OTHER operating system! It’s easy too confusing. We’re on iOS 18.2 and even so, I have no option to use it as any other OS. Nevertheless Apple adds stupid infantile features….

All Image Playground needs to do is make the images more realistic. They look cartoony. It makes everyone (including me) who has little eyes into either a teenager or a little kid. 1:12

@@fauzytech I doubt you'll be able to use it as a primary display (plus it'd be difficult to configure without a screen) but if you look at 6:00 it allows you do even do with another Mac so lets say for example you have a home Desktop Mac (Mini with display or the iMac) and you wanted to use that screen as an extension of your Macbook now it seems like you can, it should work in reverse I don't know why you'd do that but it should technically work.

I had two Sequoia 15.1, M1 Macs in the same room, on the same LAN that refused to connect to each other, no matter what we tried. Updated both to 15.2 and VOILA! Working now. This is worth far more to us than any other "features". Thanks Apple!

I've been having frequent kernel panics with this update on my MBP 2019 i7... I'll randomly be scrolling, watching videos, listening to music, just doing basic things.., it'll start to lag then freeze then BOOM. Fans run and shuts down and keeps giving me the "your computer restarted because of a problem." This has been very stressful for me and I'm so over it. Does anyone have a solution for this? I mean, think about all of the stuff that Apple put in… >Window snapping (something Apple has been trying to do for years) >Generative AI or (Apple Intelligence) that is actually smart using ChatGPT instead of biased stuff like Microsoft Copilot or Google Gemini. >Cool wallpaper that (IMO harkens back to the Leopard-Snow Leopard days) >Generally faster performance than Sonoma (although there is some bugginess in some areas) >iPhone Mirroring which has added to my laziness, I don’t have to get up and look at my battery or look at codes from Microsoft sign in! >And the addition of Image Playground, good idea, but a bad rollout. I'm a Music Producer Android fan nerd with a Razr '23 & Lenovo Thinkpad,;& Yoga devices. I just got a '17 MacBook Pro last week, that came with High Sierra which I quickly upgraded to Monterey but it was a bit buggy with the dock disappearing & not coming back when hovering over it unless I lock it to get it back in view. I honestly can't tell mac os apart from each other like with Windows & Linux but I got it because my other Windows randomly crashes once per day on me & it makes me paranoid while producing where I had to enable autosave to every 5 mins while religiously clicking Control s every few beats added, it also corrupted my production( micro in adapter)SD card to when I was forced redownload all of my sounds & I'm still in the process of recovering chopped up samples or having to resample not I'm on Mac I don't have to worry about stupid critically bad windows stuff, even with the MacBooks with SD card reader you don't see Reddits with post saying my MacBook corrupted my SD card, not saying it hasn't happen just not as much as windows users. I lost over 300 Beats fuxkin with Windows corrupting drives & self deleting projects

@@toku30 That is probably why most artists use Apple products, I really don't think that anybody who works in any type of entertainment uses a Windows product, maybe if you have a simple KZbin channel, you might use Windows I guess. Most Windows sounds were made with a Mac actually, and a lot of Microsoft employees say that they code Windows using a Mac. Look up Dave's Garage, he was a Microsoft employee for years, but he uses macOS today!

Sharing item location is literally what I was thinking of two days ago - this is from my experience of twice having my android devices stolen, and it being so cumbersome to track except from a desktop (or having to go through the entire complicated google login with all modern 2fa security etc.) How apple understands their users and their needs so intricately before everyone else is beyond me!

@@hiyaworld2170 I got a MacBook Pro M1 Pro and i got the same questions, Sequoia turned this machine so smooth, but Apple is a b17ch in obsolescence terms, i would love to know if any of this updates would turn the machine less powerful on purpose. I look at iPhones who brick when updated, a shame. I will update now using Cubase with a lot of plugins, if anyone want some feedback I'll answer.

Upgraded on the M1 MacBook Air- Runs flawlessly. I even kept checking for any overheating and it was minimal to non. Also it’s not slowed down once, everything runs so so fast. Now of course I am only one person so you may want to decide from researching ect but from my experience no issues.

Anyone having the issue of the icon not showing on the Menu Bar here is solution: In System Settings, go to Control Center. Look for Intelligence under "Other Modules." Set the status to Show in Menu Bar or Show in Control Center.

I just did an upgrade to 15.2 I noticed my second monitor has now the top menu bar open, of whatever application is active. It's a brown stripe which wasn't there before. For example I have chrome open now and I can see the top apple icon, Chrome, File. Edit , History (etc, chrome settings). It also reduced my screen size as it takes like 1cm from the top. Previously I had that menu only on the main laptop screen. Is there a way to hide it?

I don't like how the default is type to siri on the mac, -- with Apple Intelligence enabled, if I tap the siri icon on the touchbar, it defaults to typing to siri instead of talking, which is more cumbersome.
