Thanks for the concise and informative video - clear and not a wasted word! I am going to change my plugs.

When you change the timing belt you should change the water pump for the engine cooling. Make sure that you buy a good quality replacement water pump. Volvo Turbo engines are VERY sensitive to spark plug type. ONLY USE VOLVO SPARK PLUGS. They will last for +100.000 miles, no matter your driving. I've tried all kind of expensive non-Volvo spark plugs and they just does not work.

Removing the vanity cover that hides the coil packs has one torx screw that cannot be accessed easily because the turbo tube is in the way. I found that if I simply remove the two screws that somewhat secure the tube, I can nudge it slightly sideways and get to the awkward torx screw. You should point that out.

For 2019, what is the most affordable way to acquire a Vida/ dice system for personal use?

Maaaaaaaan, that suckabitch PCV system was in horrible shape when I bought my S40, but I ordered the majority of the parts to fix it from RockAuto, instead of paying the almost $400 the stealership wants for the "PCV system repair kit", and I'm going to get crackin' on it very soon! I'm glad you specifically mentioned the cam gear(s) leaking because of failure in the PCV system, because that is precisely what I have going on, and I was praying it wasn't the cam gear actually leaking. It's still throwing oil all over the timing belt etc. (the entire passenger side of the car, on the bottom end, is SOAKED in oil!), but the hope is that when I replace the faulty items in PCV system, it will calm down...at least. For those that don't want to ever actually run into this problem themselves, ALWAYS use synthetic oil in these cars, and do FREQUENT oil changes, possibly using some type of chemical motor flush at least every-other one.

Have fun re-doing it again. I've used cheaper kits before and the rubber just does not last. I ended up re-doing on my S70 twice. Once bc I went with a URO kit from Rockauto (crap) when those hose split and cracked I went with OEM. Do it right, do it once. Something you can cheap out on with these cars, just not the PCV system where its a pain in the ass to deal with.

Could it be in "limp mode?" You may have had an over boost issue. Removing a battery cable for @ 15 seconds will change the computer back to normal operation.
