Ive had & have both find them extremely similar with very few differences, bernese long hair & little smaller, swiss bit larger shorter hair, both have same temperment same goofy behavior, both very protective of my kids & wife, both just want to be around ppl. Love them so much, truly great loving, loyal dogs

Berners are amazing. I don’t see very many of them but I’ve loved each one I’ve met. I’ve never seen a Swiss mountain dog in person.

I Love my swissy so much! She has a great temperament and is a fantastic family dog with my children. Also let's us know if there is an unfamiliar sound near by! I love her tri-colour. I wouldn't own any other breed. They are GREAT!

Mine was a Swissy/Malemute mix! The best dog I ever owned! Smart as hell and yes, a little stubborn 😂 but when I used the 'manly voice' he said 'ok boss'. But he had a heart of gold. Hundred twenty pounds, slender weight and extremely gentle

We have a Berner Swissy cross breed, she’s a lovely dog, probably more berner in temperament, she’s lazy and not very active. She loves nothing more than a good cuddle.

Fun fact: in switzerland we call a dog that is a mixed breed between greater swiss and bernese mountain dog a swissy.

i got a swissy boy- a mix breed between swiss and berner.. when he was young he was def. dominat and intens.. and even he is old now .. he still need to bee cam down before he get overeager when play time.. - but he is def. warry lay down arrown people and dogs he know .. as a first time owner.. of this big goofy dog.. i learn soo mush and love him to death
