Our swissy in kansas handle 8 below Temps easy, Colorado mts at 13000 she loves. Just use good judgment, swissies will let you know, when to pop on the warmers,

How do they do in cold weather? My German shepherd could stay out all day in the Canadian winter. I know the gsmds have short fur but they’re big dogs from the alps so maybe they would be ok.

They are double coated and mountain dogs. They love the cold.

Our swissy bonded super-tight to my wife, but is still very friendly to house guests and family. Very affectionate, but oh so stubborn.

Fear of what? My swissy is almost 14 years old.. She Still plays and good quality of life.. Losing vision and some rear muscle mass.. But she's been great.. Anyone know of a Swissy over 14 years old?
