Really like your interesting variety of locations-from inside a station watching a train arrive through the windows for example. Also, seeing the gates descend and then rise, and especially when you stay on a scene long enough to see a signal change when the train passes under it. Much better than just one train after another rolling by with none of the surrounding activity. Thanks!

+Lawrence Keesler First, I am sorry about the delay in response. My channel is starting to pick up and the comments can get to be too many too handle. Thank-you for your nice words as to my style. I do like to hold on long shots and I try to let the A/V speak for itself. I consider it to be an old fashioned approach, but I still like itover the present quick cut style on TV nowadays. I especially like the challenge of filming a non-moving object and to make it look interesting. If you are interested in some examples, I have an "Abandoned" Playlist on this channel. I had a lot of fun putting that stuff together.

I'll look for your playlist. A local movie critic calls current trends ADHD-MTV Editing, which pretty well sums up what I find most irritating. And your videos so satisfying. I am so tired of zoom-and-pan-and-zoom, which tends to make a fast-moving train appear to be HO or N scale wobbling on poorly-laid track in the approach and departure. The only time the train looks real is during the fast pan as it whooshes by. Predictable from beginning to end. Thanks again for your fine uploads. I live in a train-starved location, so most of my train watching must be online. Oh, the fact that your channel is starting to pick up is all your fault. If your videos were less outstanding that wouldn't be a problem. Congratulations!

This route makes me remind THE RACETRACK. As it is known, previously operated by Silver BURLINGTON and later Green BN E-locos. A route terminating in Aurora.

They should get a Wayside Horn for this one.

Nice! I'm starting to think I should do a video (meaning audio) of all the different horns I hear. There is nothing that kills a great train clip like a weird horn noise! Thank-you for viewing and giving me an idea!

I'm still waiting to get the legendary three way Metra meet. Around four-thirty in the afternoon, there is a westbound that only goes as far as Elmhurst. It ties up on the center track for close to twenty minutes. In that time period, there will also be one each inbound & outbound train. If the timing works out, three passenger locomotives will all be lined up at the Addison Street crossing. I've caught plenty of the double meets, but seem to miss the third by minutes!

+lailasalas this is actually Union Pacific line, formerly Chicago Northwestern, the "racetrack" to Aurora is BNSF, and this line terminates (for Metra at least) at Elburn

One of the women on the platform was heard to say,"What! Again?!" I'll guess the signal and the track work have created a semi-regular situation.

that was strange seeing that 1 comming in on main 3 then the other going back too chicago on main 1 guess thats not uncommon but seemed strange too me

If given the chance, I could make a day out of railfanning, one just needs to pack a lunch and a thermos full of coffee. ;)

FYI The Police Station has a Public Rest Room. I only thought of that after you mentioned the coffee.......
