If you need extra capacity during travelling etc. then an external battery or a case is much more convenient. Just let authorized repair replace the battery for you and don’t worry about it.

But Face ID was working perfectly fine before the phone was opened up. He proceeds to show me that the front camera works therefore Face ID works but correct me if I'm wrong that is not the tru depth camera that the settings is talking about. I tried to explain this but he tells me how do if I know as if I don't know anything but I'm a pretty mechanically inclined person and watched plenty of these vids and have a good of understanding of what I'm seeing. Between the cost of a battery and the tools needed, what is the actual cost of just that as opposed to having it done at a replacement business? Out of warranty battery alone per 🍎 is like $70 plus add the extras like shipping etc (which was $7 I think) and going to ifixit to do it yourself can cost $80 for battery and $82.50 for the tools and adhesive. For an ifixit cost of $162.50 by yourself (so if you mess up it's your fault, no one is going to replace it). At ubreakifix it costs basically the same price $160 (plus tax etc). Do you really trust yourself not to break it or make any mistakes on let's say the water proofing? Make sure you are grounded so you don't fry any components too. Sure if you want to keep the phone forever this will "maybe" be cheaper but prices for older phones also drop in price sometimes. Or maybe you want to start fixing all your friends and family phones. Good luck with that, hopefully you don't mess up their phone. Fixing batteries are such a scam now. It really sucks. This isn't just a iOS issue it's also hell for Android users. 😡 BTW ubreakifix costs are east coast Prices from June 2020

You can easily get the tools for less than 5 bucks and a battery for less than 30 bucks

Is it necessary to apply the adhesive again? Or can you just clip the screen in without it?
@timothygarcia31922 жыл бұрын
The adhesive is what makes your phone waterproof/ stay to together stronger. If you’re not worried about that stuff then yeah you can just clip it back together.

I did a battery replacement But have been getting notifications that it’s unable to verify that iPhone has a genuine battery and that the health information isn’t available Do you know why that is ?

I want to change my battery also. But I’m worried about the battery notification to verify that’s it’s a genuine part.

Should I get the new battery kit for this?

Too many steps/screw removals and types for my taste, prefer taking it to an apple service center for replacement! Yes I know it will be expensive, but my peace of mind is priceless!

should i have gotten a apple battery to replace or does it not matter?
@411Soulman12 жыл бұрын
I replaced the ba’ ok I’m lying I dinnit. I had somebody replace it for me long story but now I have this message in my settings implying that I have a fake battery. In other words it’s not the Apple brand. Is there a way to fool my phone into thinking it’s an apple battery?
@arohamatene3683 Жыл бұрын
Omg what a lot of work, all the fiddly bits and screws just to get the battery out. Cool video though but I think I’ll just take it to the pros 👍🏽

When changing a battery do u loose everything on the phone like apps etc?
@mark929rr58 ай бұрын
Yes. The battery stores all the information in your phone. Same as a car battery. If you change the battery in your car it will lose all the information to make your car run. Never change a battery in anything. Do not watch this video.
