@@timifrco1 you don’t find significant improvements from the 8 plus to the 11 or especially the 12? It’s like night and day!
@timifrco14 жыл бұрын
@@watchreport Nearly every person I know can't tell the differences in a blind test. Additionally, I shoot mostly with daylight, that makes it even harder to tell the difference in some environments in a smartphone screen. That's why I usually update my iPhones in a 3 or 4 years interval. But I admit, I already feel the need of being able to shoot good photos at night time. Looking forward to see the 12 Pro Max improvements, because I still think night mode is somewhat better in the S20 Ultra and the Pixel 5. Cheers.

@@timifrco1 same I have the iPhone X and will still not upgrade to the 12. You can still get as good photos with the X or 8 if you know what you’re doing But more importantly, I have my mirrorless camera for seriously improved photography. PS - No 120Hz refresh rate is definitely a turn off as well. They’ll probably include it in the iPhone 13 or something, so I’d rather wait for it.

@alejandroislas48034 жыл бұрын
@Michael Chan Don’t worry about it. The iPhone 12 has Deep Fusion on EVERY camera, so the ultra wide, wide, and the front facing camera all have it. It was only on the iPhone 11 that you’d need to worry about “capturing outside the frame” because when you did that, on the iPhone 11, it would be using the ultra wide and the wide camera in sync, and since the ultra wide didn’t have deep fusion, deep fusion wouldn’t work. But with the iPhone 12, it works on every single camera :)

Tessoro Desoto he said, it doesn’t really matter if they’re good (or advantages they have) and it’s a big difference. iPhone is both solid, and popular - thus is a standard in photo industry. And I totally agree. You see, phones like Samsung tend to use heavy processing to achieve good looking photo. Which is nice if you want that look. Pros prefere to do those adjustments and color corrections themselves, so they can make most of iPhone photos, and not, say, pixel photos (it is such heavy edit it’s basically irreversible). And apple totally recognize this and respect - thus ProRAW! A special node to pro creators. I even dare to say, if you want compare iPhone photos to android you should clic “autocorrection” for each photo you take, so iPhone can retouch it, the way android does without asking. And because android does this involuntarily it can be really annoying... like “face smoothing” on Chinese phones, or “skin whitening” on Samsung. And googles high contrast look is pleasing for the eye it’s actually opposite of what pro wants - look like footage looks out of, say, red camera before color grading... log etc.
@joshknowles28714 жыл бұрын
@Tessoro Desoto I'm with you man, I looked back at his videos and saw no android reviews. Honestly, I use the Note 20 Ultra and my vids and pics come out more natural than other phones, but I miss my pixel 4 because it was the easiest point and shoot. I think the iPhone is the laziest way to shoot on a phone , because the pro mode I have takes time to set up. I understand why that is, however anyone who tries to compare, I always shut down when I show them my pics.
@paolocarreon83294 жыл бұрын
@Tessoro Desoto Almost every pro photographer I personally know and follow prefers iPhone photos and videos. Like what the other guy said, the iPhone photos have a more "flatter" image compared to the MAJORITY of Android photos. This gives the user more flexibility or adjustments on the photo when editing it and this is why a lot of people prefer the iPhone's images especially Photographers. Sure some of the post-processing stuff that happens to every photo on Android phones looks pleasing, but it is most appealing to the general/average user. But some of these post processing stuff can be irreversible when editing it (This is from a personal experience with Android phones). Even the majority of influencers who use their phones to take photos and videos are using iPhones for the same reason (I already explained it). Also, app compatibility and optimization. For some reason, Photo editing apps just work so much better on the iPhone and can handle iPhone photos well. I also tried this before on my Android phone and my friend's android phones and sometimes the image quality tends to degrade after editing (especially on Samsung phones/photos). "This guy is making you think iphones are the best phones PER most photographers, and even worse, trying to make you think the 12 is way better than the 11, when at the end he disclosures that he used that program to enhance the shots." -Now, he is a photographer. This video is clearly not intended for average users who just take photos and post immediately and that's it. Most professional, beginner or even hobbyist photographers edit their photos and this is one of the reasons why I subscribed to his channel instead of relying on camera reviews by tech channels because they don't really answer most of the questions on my head regarding the camera and image quality. Most of their reviews are made to fit the general public or average users. Both Android and iPhone cameras have significantly improved and we are already at the point where we choose phones based on which fits our preferences more. Pixel's photos have their charms especially with contrast, but when it comes to having a more "editable" photo, it is the iPhone.
