It's cool you kept you phone for 6 years. I'm trying to do something similar and keep my items until they break as opposed to upgrading things every couple of years because of minor of feature upgrades! I used to change my phone every year but I'm still using the same iPhone I bought about 3.5 years ago, so I'm doing okay atm :)

How to you use a phone for almost 7 years with no scratches no marks perfect condition Especially the iPhone 6 which is known for being the most fragile iPhone and most prone to breaking Very impressive !

Hi Jake, great to see you back. I agree with you about keeping phones that already work fine. I had used my iphone 4 for almost 7 years, during which time all the apps except my language dictionaries, the weather, the phone, and the contacts stopped working due to incompatibility issues. So I bought a iphone 8 almost 4 years ago. It goes in my pocket daily without any case, and hasn't a scratch anywhere. But I'm not upgrading anymore. This'll be my last phone unless they totally change the internet. In which case I don't even want to know about it. Cheers! Love from Italy.

I just got the iPhone 12 mini also in black. I for some reason couldn't bring myself to get the blue, mostly because I tend to get more than one case during the lifespan of my phone and with black there are more cases that go with it. I ended up getting a really modern looking case from a company called Native Union. It's partially made out of wood. It's really neat. Glad to see you upload!

I recommend the 'unbreakable' case off amazon, it's slim, doesn't feel bulky with great grip and its only a tenner. Really good case and most importantly you wont find your phone slip'n'slide to the other end of your bed when you wake up because of the all glass body.

I purchased an iPhone SE 2 this past April and went with a white Apple silicon case. It’s aged well, not yellowed. I damaged the one corner and it’s weakened in that area since (bumped off table onto hardwood floor by accident). Overall I would definitely recommend the silicon case it’s quality.

Hi Jake, I was surfing through the internet the other day and in so doing, I came across your fantastic channel. One thing that immediately struck me was the authenticity of your content. I'm pretty sure you've received a whole bunch of comments like this before, but I seriously think you have an awesome personality and your style is one of a kind. I also learnt a lot from your tutorials and enjoyed keeping up with your progress to date. I was living in London, UK, as well. My goal was to start a new chapter in my life. Initially I was full of hope and optimism, however, finding a job became shockingly difficult during the Covid 19 outbreak. Being unemployed for almost a year, I resolved I would go back home for some time and chill (I'm from Italy). I appreciate and respect the effort you've put into your job search precisely because I can relate to your personal experience. Thank you for being a powerful generator of positivity and good vibes. It is a pleasure to see you accomplishing great things in life and I hope someday we’ll be able to meet in person. You're well worth the wait ;)

Hi Jack, I'm a fan of you, obviously. Maybe it's not appropriate to put my comment under this video but I don't have the other ways to contact you. I'm suffering from depression at the moment, I always hold that thought of being a loser, it's just that everyone can realise their dreams but I cannot. Your videos are always a source of motivation to me. I wonder if you can make a video on how you tackle your depression (if you had some) and how to be more optimistic on life. I watched many videos also but it's just fruitless. Thank you and I'm here to support you, Jack.

Phones have completely plateaued now and the only gains are processing which you don’t really notice, cameras and the shape of screens. My most recent upgrade was to an iPhone 7 😂 They still make and sell them because they’re very much fully functional. I have no appetite for the very latest models and the extortionate price they cost for such marginal gains.

I’d recommend the Apple Leather case over the Silicone version. In my opinion the additional cost is worth the superior look & feel. The leather cases are harder wearing and will last longer, also the metal inserts for the buttons make it feel as if the phone isn’t in a case at-all. Having tried both versions the difference really is night and day - and is a definite win if you already like the silicone case.
