The differences in photo quality between the pro and the pro max are very subtle. I even think in some of the shots provided the 12 pro images looked a little sharper than the pro max. I believe that the price difference between both devices are not entirely worth it. If you’re someone who just likes a bigger phone/screen then go for the pro max.

Great review as always! Personally, I want the better battery life, but not the bigger display. That's why we call them "mobile phones" and not "mini tablets". I currently have a Note9 and it's wayyy too big to be comfortable, but the battery life is stellar. Really miss the iPhone 6S smaller size, but not its battery life.

2:53 A little detail to point out, the 12 Pro Max doesn’t have the biggest battery on an iPhone, it’s the 11 Pro Max that currently has the largest capacity ( 12PM : 3687 mAh, 11PM : 3969 mAh)

I think a lot of these pro photographers just look at the good things they can get out of an iPhone. As soon as it gets more difficult they will flip out their a7siii. So they care less about low light issues as lens flare. For the average consumer this is different, and they would see the flaring issues as more of a problem.

I am debating on if I should upgrade to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Especially knowing that the iPhone 13 is scheduled to launch in October/November. I am an esthetician so I deal a lot with skin and skincare and need to start doing more before and after pics of clients to post to Instagram and Facebook. I take a lot of pics of my babies (chihuahuas who are very fast moving), I take selfies to show my own skincare progress, love taking pics outdoors and do a lot of pics indoors in very low light. I do not do a lot of heavy video gaming, watch a lot of KZbin videos on the phone, and I just got the new iPad Air 4 (2020). I am seeking your very honestly advice. Thank you.
