So the iphone matched up well in detail...even a little too much??

Yea I would say it oversharpened it, so the full frame actually had slightly more detail, but the iPhone 12 looked like it had more at a quick glance due to over sharpening. When you pull it up on a big screen though you can see a lot of the harsh detail.
