its simply a software upgrade. apple couldve just updated the 11 pro software with night mode, even budget androids have night mode. its a shame, apple is covering software upgrade as if its a new invention. yet other apple users would say "5 years software upgrade". yah with widgets, androids have had for centuries. this is the kind of upgrade the iphone 11 needs. iphone 12 definetely not worth the upgrade, maybe iphone 12 pro max would bring something better to the table.

Def not worth upgrading for such minor improvements. If you have a XS or earlier then yea go for it, if you already have an 11 Pro it's only an improvement if very specific scenarios. I know I'll be holding out for at least one more year. Rumor is there will be all new sensors next year so the improvements should be much more significant if that's true.

Pretty much the same with a boost in night shots. Software upgrade on the 11 would make night improve but Apple won't do that. Need to move 12s.

Idk if the 11 Pro' camera is actually amazing to begin with that Apple has hit plateau in term of camera performance for their next flagship that they only upgrade the night mode in ultra wide camera + LiDAR feature. I literally find most of the pictures between the 11 Pro and the 12 Pro, 99% the same.

I have watched 10 videos just tonight on the differences between these two cameras and THIS VIDEO has FINALLY answered my questions! The side-by-sides of the pictures and video have definitely helped me make up my mind! I’ve got an 11 Pro now and was thinking of upgrading to a 12 Pro for the camera and was confused about what the LiDAR Scanner actually did and this video just made my decision for me!! Thank you!!! I’ll be getting my 12 Pro next week!!

There is no reason Apple couldn't put night mode on their older phones and the 11 wide angle other than selling the 12. Android manufacturers all backported their night modes. Edit: Apple also needs to work on those nasty alien reflections. It's been pretty bad on their past two phones as evidenced at 8:12 or the photo at 8:45 with the green lights starting at the trees and going into the sky.

Even the 12 pros night photos aren't anything that impressive compared to the best android phones and of course they won't update the older iphones with the extra night modes because they have to make up a reason for people to upgrade

Can you tell me which one is better? Iphone 11 pro or normal Iphone 12? I am particularly interested in the camera. (Who has a better camera?) I saw that 11 pro has 3 cameras but it is older instead iphone 12 has 2 cameras but it is newer. When I referred that I was interested in the camera, I also referred to the pictures and the videos

I was confuesed for a long time but finally decided on 12 pro.. Heres why-: 1)First of all it has a better camera with night mode, lidar. 2.) It has a flat screen i.e gr8 for gamers. 3.) It has more natural photos as compared to the 11 pro which has much more saturated phots. 4.) I'll get updates on the 12 pro maybe a year more than the 11 pro bcoz of the latest model. 5.) 12 pro has 5g

I have the 12 Pro, and from my limited time with it so far, light spots and holograms from lens flare are its biggest downside (was a problem with the 11 Pro as well). I'm hoping post production apps can do their magic to sort that issue out.

nightmode with tele is not real tele. its a digital zoom from the wide angle lens i dont know why apple didnt allow to use the tele cam natively with nightmode i hope they release an update soon

I really can't see any reason to upgrade. Although carriers are marketing 5G heavily, I don't see much coverage outside of major downtown cities, which alone doesn't give you a reason to upgrade for 5G.

To be honest, Iphone 11 (Pro Max) is still a great phone. New design and having the latest are probably the main reasons people "upgrade", 5G is irrelevant and cameras are so slightly better that if it wasn't for side by side comparison even hardcore Apple users couldn't notice the difference. Iphone12 just needed that 120Hz, this way it's just Iphone 11 (Pro Max) S
