Watching these kind of videos are making me realise I only really want an iPhone due to the "hype" around them and not due to the specs and features lmao. Trust me I actively know how much more expensive apple products are lol. But it’s just that at the current point of my life I do prefer using an iPhone, and am alright with paying its “tax”. As someone who used apple products my whole life and pretty recently (about one year ago) switched form an iphone to a samsung phone, I can say that I enjoy my Samsung a lot more. My iphones after a year of use would ALWAYS develop some issues and they are the kind of phones that are pretty hard to repair (in my country we don't have an official apple store, so repairing these phones cost even more than usual. Whereas my Samsung so far has never been repaired and I've never ran into any issues with this phone.

I told her fuck apple fix your phone when we go t a vacation to Egypt, and guess what they fixed it for the equivalent of 3k egyptian pounds which is 200 dollars in 3 days. It was a fixable situation but apple sets up its users for failure they wanted her yp pay 899 for a new phone when her phone is fully functioning it has not a scratch that says alot about their care for the environment caring for the environment means reuse, reduce and recycle... it’s definitely not throwing old phones to make them generate more cash

It doesn't sit right with me that not only you buy a phone that costs around 1000$ or more and its value drops in half in the next year or so, but also in 3 years you no longer receive any major updates. It's just does not happen with iphones. I still own and use a phone from 2017 that is perfectly supported (not even near the end of support) and still retains at least some value, and I am only thinking of getting a new one because of cameras and 120hz panel.

And I’m able to trade in for a decent amount even though it’s 4 years old because it’s still supported. A family member has an old s8 that they can’t do anything with because it stopped getting security updates in April. It came out the same year as the iPhone X.

Great review! By the way, I suggest not to use the fast charging feature if you want to keep the phone for a long time, as it really does speed up the degredation of the battery. From my experience, I also saw a noticable improvement in short term battery life by turning fast charging off. Also, adaptive refresh rate uses as much as twice the power of standard. By turning these settings off, I managed to get as much as 27 hours of battery life with 11 hours of screen on time from my S21 Snapdragon.

As a previous Samsung user and a current iPhone user although I do admit Samsung phones do feel like a better deal in terms of hardware IPhone definitely feel a lot smoother and optimized it’s hard to explain you kinda have to experience it to understand, but it really depends on what your going to use the phone for, if you need to do some heavy duty stuff on your phone I would go with Samsung but if your just using a daily driver for productivity, work, ect, I would go with iPhone but that’s just my opinion

@@SuccessReveal Yeah, but the app quality on iOS is miles above what android offers, and the most used apps are free both on android and on iOS. And you pay maybe 100 dollars more at the initial buy, but in 3 to 4 years the iPhone resells for way more. For example, my old S9 sells today , in an almost new condition for about 220 euros. While the iPhone competitor from that year in the same condition is about 400 euros. And I pay 2 euros a month for an extra 200 gb of cloud storage, which solves all of my problems. Both android and iOS have cons and pros, but for me, the iOS pros weigh more than what android has to offer, and I have been an Android user since Samsung Galaxy S2. Switched to iPhone 12 mini a month ago and never looking back now.

I'm debating switching to iPhone in a couple months. I never really cared for the customizing on Android, as I like a minimalist and simpler look. The biggest game-changer for me is app compatibility. For example, the apps I use a lot have had dark mode versions on Apple for months but not on Android. Also, the way the camera works better in apps, etc. I'm probably going to make the switch.

You can use the screen time menu to disable those notifications- just go to screen time notifications and then click shortcuts and then disable notifications. Note that everytime the phone restarts or shuts down you need to reenable it again.

The profit margin on an iphone 12 is 68%. Thats absolutely ridiculous, that means they're just making the iphone 12 overpriced. While s21's profit margin is around 41% still ridiculous but apple takes the crown in leeching off people. There is no denying that both phones are great. Personally I would go for the S21, for lots of customization, smoothness, stability, reliability, flexibility, security and privacy, compatibility etc. Some of which I'm sure are on the Iphones too. Resale value wise, Samsung phones in recent years has higher resale value than before. However, I don't resale my electronic devices such as phones and laptop due to privacy concern.

I loved your video, regarding what you say at the end, I have a very good solution that I use. Samsung Dex. Now you can use it wirelessly, it allows you to copy absolutely everything between the cell phone and the Macbook, even using your cell phone in full screen on the Macbook, I think the best thing for creators is just to have those devices that you have, Macbook and iPad, and a Samsung as a cell phone. I think I will make a similar video telling my experience 🙈

For me I have the iPhone because I really like the OS of iPhone. iOS is so optimized for a good workflow without having to adjust things yourself. The iPhone's hardware is pretty trash compared to Android phones. But I have to say that every review is biased, because if you are a iPhone daily, you'll prefer iPhone and if you are a Android daily, you'll prefer an android phone.

I totally agree, i prefer iphones but that doesnt mean that i think andoids are not good. Of course androids have some things iphone doesnt and iphone has some things android doesnt. My opinion is that apple has better software but andoid have way better hardware and battery life.

As an iPhone 12 user also coming from the android side , I would definitely say iPhones are more expensive , and even once you own your iPhone a lot more of the apps in the App Store are subscription based , at the same time I’d say probably Apple does have on balance slightly more professional type apps available , but IMO it’s not a huge leap. Compared to my note 9 w hich is the hamburger with the lot , even the iPhone 12 Pro max seems very Spartan off features. The iPhone does have some redeeming features though. The lack of headphone Jack , SD card and usual expected items in the box that are not supplied by both companies is a pretty poor show in my book.

As someone who switched from an android to iPhone, I think one of the major things about iPhone is its longevity. While I don't exactly know the durability of the phone itself, iPhones tend to have a VERY long software support. My mom has an iPhone 6s plus which was released in September of 2015 and she was able to upgrade to ios 14, the latest ios software in 2021. It still works really well 6 years later and I think that's quite impressive.

That's a very valid point. Some people don't want or need to buy a new phone often and that's an awesome plus. I have never been interested in Apple phones but that is a huge plus for sure and I can see how that would make people really loyal to the brand. Kinda cool even if you have bought a new iPhone to be able to use your older phone with the updates as a backup or like a small tablet or give it to a sibling/family member.

ive been watching a bunch of these iphone vs samsung reviews and your video is definitely the most practical. No one will care about design or color because they'll slap a case on anyway. Barely anyone will care about how well a phone does for gaming on a phone because theyre not designed for that anyway. No one will care about them miniscule detail about specs because as long as you like the phone when you use it, that's all that really matters. Reviewers definitely need to focus on the everyday use aspect like you did it makes it much easier to make a decision but I do have a minor thing I care about that's making me hesitant. Im leaning towards the samsung right now because I like to take pictures and selfies. But the last time I had a samsung, the selfies were not that good so Im still a little hesitant. Everything else about the samsung s21 seems solid

Also I really like the longevity that iPhones have with their updates, you can basically keep the phone for years and it will still be up to date, Samsung and most other Android manufacturers only guarantee maybe 3 years of updates max and that's a little low for me :/

I think the fact that you have to use Lightning cables to charge your iPhone is a MAJOR downside. From my experience, chances for a USB-C cable to be around, are higher than chances of there being a lightning cable around.

I have Android and Apple most of the time. Agree that you can customize Android so much easier. Apple is getting there. But I have never experienced all the hype on refresh rate. I use my Note 20 on the highest screen quality because that's it's greatest asset. Nothing is close. Way better than my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple is only 1 line per year, not 20 different brands and models on Android. So the experience they give is relative to their entire ecosystem. So changes on the iPhone will affect how the other parts of the ecosystem will interact...which is probably why the updates and customizability are limited. Agree, both Samsung and Apple are great. Take away all the hype that all the YT gurus state and it's just about which operating system you like. To me, doesn't matter much. I like my Note and may keep it for a few years rather than getting a new iPhone this year

You can hide apps on Samsung phones by going to Home Screen > Hide Apps However if you'd like to hide entire screens you'll have to find a launcher that supports it.. I'm sure there's plenty out there tho. Edit: This may vary from phone to phone as different manufacturers have different modified versions of Android.
