Thank you for your help. The first solution worked. I got a message on the screen telling me I had to wait 5 minutes. As I waited, I tapped the screen and saw the phone was counting the minutes. So, when countdown was done, I was prompted to use my password to open phone. I did and I have my phone back. Thanks for the great help.

Thank you also… I have an iPhone X The method that work for me was the massage with paper towel and then volume button up down and side button and Wala. It came on. I recently also had iPad go black screen and I went through many ways to get the screen back on, but ended up going to Apple to get it looked at, and they had it back on quite quickly through their methods. I’m wondering would this method work for iPad as well.

I used fix number 1, 2 1. Apple logo then computer screen to attach cable. I connected the cable but it didn't work. I smacked the iphone it didn't turn on. Forced reset again. The apple logo came up the screen read iphone not available at this time. I tapped the phone it said iphone not available at this time try again in 1 minute.
